Does the yellow Question mark button flash whenever it is pressed or whenever the device is talking?

So, does it come with the marker or not?

Is the pen non toxic?

Can you use another dry erase marker on this? Both of mine didn't come with markers and it's a gift. So just want to make sure any work.
