Well, I am older than middle age these days. Although I can enter the bed using the tailgate, or stepping on the tire, the step is so much easier and I have used it a lot to load up the truck while loading up and unloading the truck for a trip. It works great for me. I am using it on a 2024 power wagon and it fit perfectly with the existing holes. There is the wiring harness that you have to deal with, I rotated it slightly to get clearance, then cut off a piece of the foam that was in the box that the step came in and tie wrapped it around the step to provide a cushion between the step and the wiring. I make it a habit to face perpendicular to the direction the truck is facing when using the step because one reviewer said his broke, and if you are entering at 45 degrees your crotch will be right over the point of the tailgate. My step works and has not failed me but I always think about the possibities if things go wrong. I always support myself with both hands while using the step as well. I weigh between 210 and 220 usually- for reference. The price is very good for this step. I read one review that said the step fell off while driving, so I checked the tightness of the Allen bolts holding the hinge pins in when I installed it also. Everything was good. Very happy with my purchase, bought one for my son as well.

I installed this in less than 20 minutes. Everything fit perfectly with my 2024 Ram. The only thing I had any issue with was the rear wiring harness. I had to remove it from the frame and re-attach it to the top of the step with tie wraps to keep it secure. I also found it is easier to install if you start the bolts and don't tighten them until it is all put to gather. I'm 60 years active, 230lbs and 6ft tall. this is a game changer to get in and out of the bed of my truck.

The dealer wanted over 400.00 for the Mopar step I grabbed this one and installed in less then a half hour. It took longer to gather tools than install. Directions were pretty good and with pictures I would recommend rinsing off the underside before working I got a good old face full of maine dirt road when I other Milwaukee on it Seems to work as it should time will tell take out 3 bolts install 3 bolts and a safety screw you can do it !!!!

This works on 4th Gen Rams as well. Pics are on a 2017 2500. I assumed it would, took my chances and it bolted right up. Reuse the large bolt, not the one in the kit.This is the same as the OEM Mopar step, literally. The directions even have a Mopar part number at the bottom of each page. Exact same directions that come with the OEM unit.I'm all for supporting domestic but not when you get the box and it says "Made in China" on it and ai paid 4x for it.This step is awesome. Tucks up nicely, super solid, easy to move in/out, etc.

I love this step. We go camping alot but I also use the truck for work and this step is almost invisible. My husband had to show me where he installed it. Easy for me to kick out, solid to stand on and ready to kick right back. I will definitely buy one for every truck going forward.My husband (250lb ish and i can get in and out of the truck easier and it's very stable. Love this buyMy husband said it installed easy. (He had it done in 15 minutes). Fit right in the bumper mounting brackets. It came with anything he needed (long screws...)

Price of step was at least 1/3rd the price form dealer and you would be hard pressed to see any difference in quality. I read other reviews and the instructions are a little tough to follow BUT I found a video on Google and it was very simple indeed to install. Overall very happy with this product
