DHA is a simple sugar, the simplest in fact, that interacts with the outer layer of skin to produce a fake tan. The DHA sunless tan develops over the course of at least 8-12 hours. Luminance also includes bronzers that produce an immediate tan while the sunless tan develops. The bronzers will wash off in the first shower revealing the sunless tan.
