Missing chip
Got the board, put it together, and had to put it away. Life gets in the way. Got it out and couldn't get it to work. Got looking closer and it is missing the chip above the x1 spot. No wonder it won't work. Please help me.*Update*Quick response from the company. Sent me a new board that works as intended. Thank you for the quick response!!

worked.
It worked fine with mmdvmhost on linux. It would be really cool if the seller would add a small spi flash so that it shows up with a serial number. With that, udev could tell them apart and run multiple hotspots on one computer (automatically)

Yes it works. Useful little device.
I have used the original Bluetooth version of the this device (BLUESTACK)so I was curious about this AURSINC USB to Serial Hat board . I decided to try it out with a AURSINC MMDVM HS HAT. I have been building HOTSPOTS since 2017 and I have used all sorts of boards to make my hotspots . Pi 2's, ZERO W's, and Pi 3's with and without displays. I got it to work on Windows with the most recent version of Blue DV for Windows on Serial and I got to work on Android Serial OTG with a Galaxy Z Fold 3. Then I decided to push my luck and tried a ZUMSPOT board from 2016 and it worked too. Don't waste your money on a MMDVM Hat with OLED is it not supported with BlueDV also you can only use D-STAR, DMR and Fusion. Those are limits with BlueDV. Now I need to go find my 2 Original Bluestack boards.Since the MMDVM USB with MMDVM HS Hat is the same size as the PI Zero W and MMDVM Hat I 3D Printed a nice case for it too. I have been using it with MY ID-51a need to try it on the other modes.A fun weekebd project and I didn't have to pull out any of my remaining hair.

Great simplex, dual-band DMR Hotspot
I added an Amoled screen to this and it works great. I use it with BlueDV on Windows.

Previous board worked great, second one not so much
I've used these myself in a previous build as have several other people I've worked with. New board purchased will not load drivers under windows, and appears to behave identically whether switch for upgrade is set to A or B. Seller lists a link to USB drivers, but those drivers do not match the hardware being presented to windows (USB\VID_9986&PID_7523). Drivers for said hardware do not appear to exist. Processed a return/replacement and hope I have better luck on the next board.

Yes it DOES work
Connected the hot spot HAT to a generic Chinese MMDVM board, downloaded & installed the CH340 serial driver, installed BlueDV control software and it just works! I have and use other hot spot hardware, software for Dstar, Fusion and DMR, Zum spots (Zum USB stick, Zum Bluetooth board, Zum MMDVM board, and clone MMDVM boards) I am not affiliated with any seller or vendor and have no interest in the sale of these products. I am only reporting that it works with the BlueDV software on Windows 10 in my installation.Mike B

Doesn't work with Raspberry or windows
No support. No drivers. Driver is Chinese and installing in raspi is impossible.Waste of money.

Works with MMDVM hat and Bluedv
There is no information included with the board, but the info needed is in the pictures and description. Download the driver from Sparkfun, put the switch in the “A” position, put the MMDVM hat on, and go. It has the same footprint as the Pi Zero and fits in a standard Pi hotspot case. No complaints so far.
