Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-404C II Walnut Center Channel Speaker

I purchased this speaker to replace an old small Bose center channel speaker I had been using for many years. I decided to replace it as it was becoming harder to understand spoken parts in many movies and current shows. I got this as it was to be placed under my TV on a shelf attached to the wall mount. It just does fit on the shelf as it is wider than my previous speaker. If you want a Klipsch center speaker to go on your wall mount shelf this is going to be your only choice from what I could find. Other speakers were much wider and would never fit, so make sure you check your measurements for your shelf and the speaker, as well as, how much weight your mount and shelf can hold. Back to the speaker, it looks beautiful and the sound quality is years ahead of my last speaker. The clarity of spoken lines is excellent and the mid-range is great. It made all my TV watching so much better and clearer. Thias is part of a5.1 surround sound system with 2 Klipsch Floor speakers as front left and right speakers and two Bose speakers in the back, left and right. I expect I will replace those two rear Bose speakers once I save up some money too. I have found I really like the sound of Klipsch speakers above all others I have listened to. I highly recommend this speaker for your home theater system.

Sounds great and it fits my space

The "virtual" center speaker created by my Klipsch Heresy IV front speakers and Yamaha Aventage receiver sounded fuller and more realistic than this RP-404C II. If you have the budget, invest in quality front speakers and a quality receiver, and skip the physical center speaker.

I bought this Klipsch center channel speaker because my previous one made dialogue difficult to hear. I had to crank up the volume so high that it ruined the movie experience. If you want to test your center channel's dialogue clarity, try the movie The Expendables 4. I couldn't understand a word those guys were saying, which is what led me to purchase this Klipsch. I'm happy to report that it passes The Expendables 4 test with flying colors! I can understand everything clearly, and it sounds fantastic. The best part is that this speaker delivers a huge improvement even with stock receiver settings. There's no need to spend hours tweaking things – the dialogue is simply that much clearer. The smaller depth is also a perfect fit for my setup. The sealed box design might slightly alter the sound compared to the RP-504c II, but I don't have that model for a direct comparison. Overall, this speaker is a fantastic addition to my setup, and I'm thrilled with the purchase.

I've had Klipsch speakers before, so when I needed to purchase a new surround sound system for my new home, choosing Klipsch speakers again was a no brainer...! The new Reference Premiere II series looks as good as it sounds, which was important to me too. Absolutely love the optional walnut finish, combined with the black front! Build quality and attention to detail is outstanding with Klipsch. I also wanted speakers that would perform just as well when listening to music, as they would while watching a movie and again, Klipsch delivers!!

Nice & clear slim channel for smaller spaces such as mantels. Lots of bass right down to 80hz, and detailed highs. There is a bit of fidelity loss at extreme angles (search detailed data) due to the horn design but generally this is a major improvement over my last centre channel. Probably the best you’re gonna get under 7” depth.
