I moved across country not long ago, and din't bring my metal bucket style counter compost bin with me. I decided I would get something new. It took a while and we had a glass bowl on the counter and regularly took it out. My hubby does a LOT of cooking, though, and sometimes the bowl would overflow just in the prep of 1 meal. He finally asked if we were ever going to get an actual compost bin again (oh, and he needed that bowl for cooking!). I had this in my saved for later for a while, and ordered it. We've been using it for about 2 months now, and it's great. The ease of the lid is fantastic, the fact that it hangs inside the cabinet and doesn't take up counter space is also amazing, and it holds....a lot. So much so, that if we cut onions when its nearly empty, so they're sitting there just kind of...marinating...it can get ripe far sooner than its full. But that's all good. We really do love it.We don't use the bags, we drop right into the container and wash after each emptying. 1 thing hubby didn't realize when he turned it over the first time...the lid piece isn't attached,and it fell right into the compost pile. It was a quick learning curve, though.This is easy to use, looks great, holds a lot, and is easy to clean. I highly, highly recommend it.

The kitchen trash can is very well designed. It doesn't take up any space when hung on the kitchen cabinet door. I no longer have to bend down to throw away the trash. It is a very practical trash can. It is easy to sort when hung in the kitchen. It is also easy to open the lid and isolate odors. Very satisfied!!

I am new to composting and I’ve been using this for about 2 months now. I love how it easily hangs on my cabinet door and the size is working so far. It does not hold in odor completely, it’s important you clean it out often. There have been a few times the lid has been a pain to stay on, but for the most part it’s working rather well for the price.

No odor. Convenient. The lid hinge is nice because the lid gets out of the way when dumping things in the bin. Mount seems to be holding nicely. We have ours mounted to the inside of our kitchen cupboard. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in home composting.

This has been great for composting my scraps. Very convenient and versatile. And surprisingly it does block out any odor. There are times when I open it to discover that it does have a strong odor but odor completely disappears as soon as I close the lid.

I Like EVERYTHING about this item. Size for a single person who cooks is perfect. Easy ONE HAND OPERATION!!! Pull lid tab , which will drop lid down where it hangs , out of the way. You never touch anything except the tab!!The bags fit tightly over bin with a retaining ring holding them tight!Lid lifts up by tab and drops tightly into place.A food scrapper is stored out of sight in lid.. I never use it ,but good option for others to scrape food from plates etc.One quibble:it fits over base cabinet door but my doors are very cheap and thin so item hangs a bit loose . Could use a filler piece to tighten it up.I am a fierce critique and crap items get called out.It is pleasure to see such a well thought out and well executed design! While I was putting it together and installing it,I never once said my usual mantra? Why didn’t they do ….. or. why did they do this?I should video this product. I revel in finding useful, affordable well made products. CHECK IT OUT!

The media could not be loaded.  I was tired of the “kitchen-size” bin taking up floor space and creating odors all week. This bin is just the sight size for daily kitchen use & disposal. Handy to set next to the counter during prep and the right size to tuck away when not cooking. Would be suitable for trash, recycling or composting.

I bought two compost bins - this one and the Good Grips by XO. I intended to use both of them.The Good Grips has a far superior design. Good Grips is much easier to use as the lid stays in the open position while you fill it while this bin requires use of both your hands to fill it or empty it, leaving no hands for the item you are composting.The Good Grips also has much cleaner design with no nooks or crannies to catch dirt so it is much simpler to clean.I will give this compost bin as a donation to Habitat for Humanity. I just ordered another Good Grips for our RV.

I love to cook and I love this when meal prepping. opens from front and back and really helps with cleanup after peeling vegetables . we use it every day without fail . so nice I bought one for my daughter.

Exactly what I needed. I like being able to hang the bin on a cupboard door where I am chopping veggies and scrape the scraps straight in. No smell escapes the lid when inside the cupboard.

Love this!! I use it as my compose bin, hung it over my kitchen cabinet when preparing food all my food waste gets pushed into it at time of prep, making clean up a breeze. I just wish it could be a prime item with faster delivery.

Very Good Finishing, Lightweight to Handle, Decent Look in the Kitchen, very important that Lid is provided hence no entry to the insects and avoid the waste smell. Above all a very good product!!!
