is perfect for me
I have recently started using a CPAP machine. As I have a beard, getting the mask to fit when I sleep on my side or back is a real problem. I also have a lifelong habit (caused by decades of shift work) or sleeping between two pillows. I tried another pillow with cutouts and a tuck in the middle and it proved to be hard and uncomfortable. The Memory Foam Pillow, however, is perfect for me. It uses a regular pillow case, lets me sleep in any position, and is soft enough to be comfortable yet firm. I have a pierced ear and this pillow keeps the post from digging into my neck. I've used it for three nights and they have been the best nights of sleep I've enjoyed in years. An added bonus to this pillow is that when I am lying reading and not using my CPAP machine, I can flip it over and it provides support for my back.

Ok, but not 100%
Pros:—does help me be able to sleep with less leaks to the CPAP.— comfy memory foam— easy to fold if desiredCons:— pricy (although cheapest I found)— thinner than I would prefer for a pillow, but this is a personal preference.— does have a bad smell BUT I expected this as any memory foam pillow always has this. In time it does go away. If you can set the pillow out in the sun and wash the case it helps to speed up the airing out time.

Highly Recommend!!!
My neck and back were constantly hurting from my cpap, because I felt like I couldn't move around as much as I needed to without my nasal mask moving out of place (I have the Dreamwear by Philips). I decided to try a cpap pillow. I honestly chose this one because it was the best price and had decent reviews. It has really made a difference. My neck and back feel so much better now, and I don't wake up nearly as many times as I used to during the night. It's nice to be able to move around when I need to. Do not try to place this on top of your other pillows. I did that the first night and was in horrible pain. When I used the pillow by itself, it was perfect. It is soft, but it's not too soft, and it's the perfect thickness. It also has a cover that you can unzip and throw in the washing machine. This was a great purchase. I am glad I didn't spend more money on one of the more expensive pillows!

2.5 stars for not preventing leaks but 5 stars for customer support
I am updating my review not because the pillow works any better but because I have to give the company a 5 star review for their response to my problems. They wrote a lovely note to me and were kind enough to refund my money. I will leave my original review as it was written but did want to give a public 'thanks' to GoodSleep. I realize this pillow works well for most people but I found it too thin which probably lead to it pushing the mask out of place.I have used the CPAP Memory Foam Pillow for 2 nights. On both nights I had extreme leakage from my mask - red, angry faces on my machine in the mornings. Much more than usual. I am giving it one more try before returning it. In theory it should work well at preventing leakage but it seems to be far worse than just folding up my normal pillow to keep my face free. On the plus side I have had almost completely uninterrupted sleep for those 2 nights! Go figure.

... after trying unsuccessfully for two weeks to find a comfortable position on this pilow
Perhaps I have an oddly shaped head or my neck is a strange length but after trying unsuccessfully for two weeks to find a comfortable position on this pilow, I have given up. The memory foam itself is nice and if this were a regular pillow, I'm sure it would be comfortable. Unfortunately it was not the least bit useful as far as me wearing my CPAP mask goes.

Sleep in any position!
I am considering buying a second to have a back up. I can finally sleep in any position I wish. I am a stomach sleeper and with the CPAP had to sleep on my back. With this pillow, problem solved. AND, its comfortable. Cut outs or not, this is one of the most comfortable pillows I've ever owned. I prefer a rather flat pillow so if you are a person who prefers a firm or fat pillow this might not be for you.

Good concept but needs to be thicker.
Overall this CPAP pillow has a good concept with the divot for your face to lie while wearing your CPAP mask to prevent pressure but for me the problem was the pillow was not high or deep enough. I have a wrist that has some issues with becoming numb while sleeping and I believe if the pillow were deeper/thicker this would not be a problem; my wrist was in a too constricted area leading to the numbness. For that reason, I will have to return it for a refund. Maybe a new design can be made that addresses this situation.

Amazing for CPAP users
I have had this pillow for several years, and recently purchased one for my husband after he was diagnosed with sleep apnea. It is extremely comfortable, and the recessed areas ensure that the CPAP mask doesn't get dislodged by the pillow. And, bonus, it costs LESS than other pillows trying to deliver the same results! I can't say enough about how much I love this pillow.
