Some may or may not like it. The stories weren't long enough

J-Horror anthology with some thoughtfull approaches and twists!
I think that i actually liked all the short 15 minute segments, as they did well with this and i actually found it very entertaining, but as "westerner", if you are not actually familiar with J-horror or Japanese horror anthologies, then you will have to get used to the style, as well as the language and subtitling, but the stories in my opinion, did get across what being directed and even effective, given the short time for each feature. I especially liked and thought that the segments of "A view finders memory", and "Chain mail", as well as "Left behind the mountain", were good for this type and i highly recommend these. IF you do not understand the culture behind some of the elements of the society for which these films are made, then you will not like, nor enjoy, and perhaps too, miss out to see that problems exist and are in effect, very important to the Japanese viewers and can relate to. For the price, i think i can honestly recommend to those that like have a short, but thinking types of a culturally based short films, with a scare and some touching moments as well. Just my two cents worth.

FANTASTIC anthology
I collect Japanese horror anthologies; this one is quite old, but it was new to me.I am so surprised, and so happy with it. It's genuinely one of the best J-horror anthologies I now own. Not so big on the scares, but the stories, although quite short (14 mins. average) are heartwarming. A lot of emotion; and surprisingly good acting.I really loved it, and I would recommend it.

We love Japan
Very good, especially if you have a Japanese wife! We love the theme's but then again this may not be a fair review to other cultures? I'd say, "If you understand Japanese culture then you will like this series" A good bargain and very entertaining for us. Thank You

ok but not really worth the money.
I bought this because i collect japanese horror films. I enjoyed it but the acting seemed really fake especially in the first story. I am glad to have it in my collection but they really could've done better.

Great horror anthology
The Japanese seem to make really effective horror shows at a budget and the TV shows seem to even more creepy than the movies. With this offering offers excellent creepy horror anthology tv eps. based on the stories of a famous horror writer in Japan(he narrates). While not as effective as the last offering Legends, they are still creepy.Standouts are Tattoo.
