Great DVD
There are many reviews that complain about the bleeping of some words. So what? It is easy enough to guess what the words are and it is funny to hear the beeps. Those who complain just have no sense of humor. Imagining the words is more fun than actually hearing them.Jeff brought out his main charadcters and they are wonderful. I wish he had added Melvin the Super Hero having an encounter with Santa.Guitar Guy is wonderful and it is great to see Jeff try to break him up. The DVD is worth it just for the Achmed bits about his diseases.Forget the Scrooges who complain about the beeping and get ready to laugh until you cry.My only complaint is that the lighting was very dark. It should have been brighter.

Scream out loud funny!
One of the funniest things I have ever seen in my entire life. I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe, my face and stomach hurt and I had to stop the DVD for a visit to the Ladies.Achmed is still my Numero Uno--with "Poliosis". Walter was edged this time by Peanut for my Numero Dos. (You have to see the "Nyquil and Red Bull" skit to believe it.) Bubba J was hilarious. The Guitar Guy sent the whole thing over the top. Waaay over the top.I've watched it several times since receiving it a few weeks ago, have loaned it out to friends--with the threat of "Poliosis" if I don't get it back. I'll probably need to get another DVD in a few months because I've worn this one out. This is for anybody who needs a little bit of laughter in her/his lives. Correction: so much laughter you'll be sore the next day. Put this on your Christmas Wish List. You gotta have it.

Jeff Dunham is HILARIOUS!!!!!
Jeff Dunham is the most amazing ventriloquist I have seen. He gets you so into the dummies, that you just about believe that they are real. I had already watched Jeff on YouTube and decided I had to vote with my money and purchase his dvd. It is hilarious, of the ten people I had watch it with me, two of them spewed their drinks while watching it! That should be a new comedy rating! But Jeff is great and I would suggest that anyone that likes humor would like this. It does contain some adult content and language, so I don't recommend it for children. Too bad, I think he could come up with some good children humor with these dummies that could expand his fan base.

Perfect, hysterical
I have recently discovered Jeff Dunham. He is an amazing comedian and ventriloquist. My whole family loves him and his characters. It's hard to choose - Peanut is extremely happy and laughing, Jose Jalepeno on a stick is his sidekick, Walter the old man is always grumpy, Achmed the dead terrorist is not so scary I love his eyes, bubba is a redneck, AJ is achmeds half dead son, Then put them all together and celebrate christmas like never before. It had us laughing through out the whole tape. I recommend this to anyone who needs to be cheered up and to have a good laugh. I now own all of his shows that are on dvd.

It may not be politically correct but it sure is funny
The gang's all here for this very funny 2008 Christmas special filmed at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin - Walter, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Bubba J, Peanut, Jose the Jalapeño on a Stick, and of course Jeff Dunham himself. It goes without saying that you're going to be very entertained by Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special. There will be more jokes than you can throw a jalapeño on a stick at, comic banter that only the most talented of ventriloquists would even attempt to pull off, a reading of - with commentary by Peanut -The Night Before Christmas, and a couple of great Christmas songs. I must admit the show wasn't quite as funny as I expected, but I think this has a lot to do with the fact that I was already quite familiar with all of Dunham's characters.Dunham opens the show with a monologue of about ten or eleven minutes. It's a little strange to see him without a puppet, but he does prove that he can be funny on his own - albeit not as funny as he is with his special friends. Fan favorites Walter and Achmed the Dead Terrorist get the most time on stage. Dunham has only limited success in getting the curmudgeonly Walter into the Christmas spirit, but Achmed ends up entertaining all of us infidels with a great Jingle Bells parody called Jingle Bombs. Next up, and straight from the trailer park, is Bubba J, who gives Achmed quite a run for his money with his own Christmas classic, Roadkill Christmas. Of course, you can't have a Jeff Dunham show without Peanut there to liven things up, and then Jose the Jalapeño on a Stick joins both Jeff and Peanut onstage. The comedy does get a little risqué at times and, of course, the politically correct crowd out there will cry and moan about Dunham's "culturally insensitive" jokes, oblivious to the fact that Dunham is an equal opportunity offender who is happy to poke fun at just about any group out there. Personally, I say more power to him, but I think it is important to note that this comedy special isn't really something that most parents will want their younger children watching.I do have a couple of minor issues with this special, however. First and foremost, I was surprised and disappointed to hear some words beeped out - a few of which probably wouldn't even be beeped out on Comedy Central. This isn't a children's video, so I see no point in allowing a censor to get his grubby hands on this product before it was released. That brings me to the editing of this video in general, which appears to have been done by a fourth grader. The first half of this video features two of the clumsiest and most sloppy edits I've ever seen. It's like someone cut out a chunk of the film and just taped the two sides back together. Fortunately, these problems don't come close to putting a dent in the fun unleashed by Dunham and the gang in this Christmas special. Unless you lie awake at night worrying about the hurt feelings of mad terrorists who want to kill you, you're going to love Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special.

Great for the family
My husband and I watched this together. We laughed and laughed. Then, we let our seven-year-old grandson watch it. We have never seen him sit so still for so long. He laughed and laughed and laughed. Every now and then he would say "I love this. This is SO funny!" We enjoyed watching him watch it. After he was through watching the DVD, he asked his grandfather if he would make him an Achmed...yeah, right! Just this past weekend he was walking around quoting the different characters...Peanut, Bubba J and Achmed. We have also watched this with my 80-year-old father. He also enjoyed it. So, I would say this appeals to a wide audience. There are a few bad words in it, but nothing worse than what the kids are seeing on Disney these days.
