7 Traps/deterrents tested on a active infestation and these are the best of the lot.
I live in the mountains and moved into my house in July. I found there was an active mouse population in the garage so I bought the following after my original Victor mouse traps weren't doing the trick:I've now tried these, the Victor M140S, Victor M160S, Victor M143S, Catchmaster 402 baited glue trap, D-con corner fit bait station, and Neatmaster Ultrasonic Pest Repellent. The Neatmaster Ultrasonic thing was ordered first and didn't do a thing. I put a camera on the infested area with the Neatmaster activated 5 ft away and the mice would come out every night and lick the original Victor mouse traps clean. I then tried the D-Con bait stations and they made a couple of bait squares disappear but still appeared every night on the camera. I then ordered this item along with the 3 Victors mentioned above. Before they arrived I changed my bait method on the original Victors and jammed a sunflower seed into the bait clasp. I then caught my first mouse that night. When reinforcements arrived I placed them along the walls throughout my garage. Here are the results in the past 4 months:Glue Traps: a bunch of bugsVictor M160S: 3 traps out, 0 mice caughtVictor M140S: 4 traps out, 3 mice caughtVictor M143S: 3 traps out, 1 mouse caughtJawz: 4 traps out, 5 chipmonks and 9 mice caughtUltrasonic thing: seems to be ignored on medium setting (high setting is audible to people and is too much to handle)I also made one of those bucket of water with a bottle on top homemade traps and although they investigated it, it has not caught anything.I have 2 garage doors and have traps by the corners of each door where there's room to come in. I have the Jawz, a glue trap, the M143S, and 140S on each of the 4 entry points. I have the others placed along walls. Of the entry points, the Victor 143 and 140 each have one kill to their credit, the glue trap has zero, and the Jawz consistently traps mice and chipmonks. This past week it started getting cold and I've been catching a mouse every other day in the Jawz by the garage door. The trigger mechanism on the Jawz is similar to the Victor 143S. The Victor 140S seems to be a bit tough to trigger (they have to nudge their nose into the bait section to lift the bait cover in order to trigger it. The 143S and Jawz both are triggered by a very light touch of the platform surrounding the bait hole. This allows you to easily catch a mouse when he just puts a foot up there to smell what's down in the hole. I've yet to see one actually get away with a seed or lick of peanut butter from them. I did get one who only got his paw trapped in it and was still alive and very alert. I brought the trap with the mouse on it to another trap and placed his head on the trigger platform and that was that.I read others have complained about mice licking the peanut butter off or them breaking. I can't imagine how the peanut butter could be licked by a mouse without triggering it. These are plastic and I can believe they may break, but my 4 have each triggered multiple times and haven't broke yet. I'm buying 4 more today to replace the various traps that just don't seem to be doing anything.I love how easy these are to dispose of the mice. I just lift the arm (that was never in contact with a mouse) and the mouse drops out of the jaw. I drop them by my bird feeder outside and a Steller Jay makes off with him within minutes.

Great traps & keep your hands and feet clear!
I really do dislike having to deal with mice in this way, but we have an infestation going that we are scared will lead to disease etc. We put our hazmat suits on to deal with the bodies just in case. I finally got tired of our old wooden traps & decided to try some of these new easy to set monsters. Well, based on the way the bait is put in, so far, not even the tiniest of rodents has escaped this thing. Again, it is awful, but this trap is really good at catching them. Note to self....really really handles these carefully. I got a bit careless handling a couple at once & was lucky that it only snapped on the edge of my thumb. Yeoouuch! Once you set them be ready to very carefully set them were you want them & not move them too much. They will snap fairly easily. Hence why they also work so well. I do recommend sticky with a crunchy peanut butter & just smash a small amount into the bait area. I tried just putting in a lose peanut & those rascals just repelled in & grabbed it. Mice have figured these things out. So if they have to lick harder to get the treat, then snap. Ok, going to cry. But yes, these work very well.

Worked within minutes of being set - Sorry Mouses
Wow! Bought these today at 11am, got them today at 6:40pm, baited one at 1:04am. Dead mouse in the trap at 1:43am. I tried the natural way but I couldn't get them and I'd had enough of not sleeping from the noise and worry of it eating through the wires so as much as I hate to kill it, I had to go this road. And it worked amazing! I'm about to bait my second one because as I'm writing this, another one was just heard from. PS - Peanut Butter is gold for catching them.Update: Second one was caught in about the same amount of time. Im now mouse free. They were very small mice. About two inches in length so they were too small to catch with the humane mouse traps. But if I ever have bigger mice, Ill use the humane trap and set them free somewhere else. Not sure how well these would work on a bigger mouse.

Kills clean and certain like a mob boss
Incredible! I literally did not realize how bad the mouse problem was until I got these! I have tried peppermint spray, 3 cats, humane traps and diatemaceous earth, and nothing worked until these traps. On the very first night, I caught a big mouse. I knew I had at least one because I saw a whole in a bag of flour. A week later all 4 mouse traps were occupied by the corpses of my enemies. I laughed at my cats as I threw away the dead. I rolled my eyes right in my dog's face and laughed. Jaws are foolproof, cheap easy, and the deaths are clean and certain. Like a mob boss.

JAWZ traps work great!
Every winter mice invade my car and set up residency. Peppermint oil does not deter them. I hate to kill them but do not want them to damage my car and spread disease, including Lyme disease. These JAWZ traps are affordable, easy to bait, easy to set, easy to clean, and it's easy to dispose of the deceased victims without touching them. The traps are more humane than "sticky pads" and more environmentally friendly than poison. If you want to use a snap trap to get rid of mice, this trap is very effective.

Outstanding and Reliable
Very reliable, easy to bait and easy to empty. We live in an area with lots of mice that do damage to our vehicles. Through the years I have purchased dozens of these traps - I usually lose them as the "victims" are able to drag them away into the underbrush, not because them break. Of all the traps I have bought only one malfunctioned from the beginning and I was not able to set it. Still, I think their track record, at least for me, has been excellent - will continue to purchase when needed!!
