What a great buy!! I purchased for my son as he and I are home brewers. I had a stir plate but he needed one. He tried to build one himself but it didn't work well all the time. This unit works great and has no problems stirring for 12 -20 hours with a 2000 ML flask. I highly recommend this stir plate.

Upon unboxing my brand new CIMARON Magnetic Lab Stirrer, I filled my erlenmeyer flask with 2000ml of water and attached the supplied power cord. It works! However, it only works at very low rpm. Anything higher than the lowest setting, and it throws the supplied stir bar. So, it's a very small vortex. I wonder if another stir bar will remedy this? Luckily, I'm only using this device for yeast starter production, and nothing more viscous. It should get the job done. My only concern is will it continue stirring while I'm at work? Or will it throw the bar and sit static all day?

Product already stopped working with less then 500 ml being used poorly made

Power supply connection is bad and the product failed within 10 seconds of turning it on. Poorly made.

Good equipment! Works pretty well.

Excellent value. I was worried that it might not work with very small stir bars, but it does. I use it to mix volumes from just a few mL (with a 3/8" stir bar in a test tube) up to 2L with a 1.5" stir bar. If I had to suggest one improvement it would be to have a speed control knob which 'clicks' into the off position.
