This wood has been weathered outdoors! The board colors will vary based on the wood type and aging time, etc. The colors range from gray, brown, and natural tones. Mother nature "colored" this wood. It may even have nail holes. Some boards are smoother than others. The boards will also vary in width, depending on availability. We use 3 1/2" to 6" boards. We do not promise a specific color or finish with this wood. It was weathered naturally and varies based on where we purchased the wood. Each state is handmade and each board unique. Boards may be lightly sanded in areas. Each state will look different from the photo, but the shape will be the same. Every state will be authentic and rustic. The state will have a wall hanger on the back. As an option, you can pick one of the following additions to your state shape. - add a star. Provide the star location with your order. - add "home" - add a name. Provide the name with your order. - add a name and date. Provide this information with your order. I engrave with Times Roman font. I engrave horizontally on the state. I place the engraving on the state as it would appeal to the state's shape. If you have a desired location, please message me.
