Be gentle when taking out the bag, eggs are likely hatched
Eggs have already hatched upon arrival, I saw a lot of baby bugs crawling around energetically, carrying some little white ish stuff around, a few were dead, not a lot. I didn’t bother to count. Hope they will all survive and thrive in my garden.

Nothing ever hatched.
Nothing ever hatched, from minute one after opening the product it seemed like a long shot. It's just rice hulls in a bag, nothing ever moved or hatched. This company probably thrives on people panicking after seeing their precious plants (perhaps in medical legal states) being eaten up, and people make impulsive decisions. This product, indoors anyway, makes zero sense and works even worse.

These are magical creatures. Fully recommend.
I had always purchased lady bugs in the past to control aphids. Objectively speaking, these green lacewings are at least 10x more effective at controlling aphids than are ladybugs. You may not think they’re working or even hatched because at first they are very little and even as they grow they are not easily seen. But they eat aphids like no ones business. I put them out in early May (it’s now June) and I am at the second generation. They hatched, gluttoned themselves on aphids, pupated and are now adults and they have laid eggs again. You have to be very observant to see them though. My peach tree and strawberry’s were completely infested with aphids. These little things completely removed every aphid from my tree in about 2 weeks and they have the strawberry patch completely under control. I had some aphids on my cucumbers just last week and I caught a flying adult and gently moved it over to the cucumber. Bam! Aphids are now gone. They will stick around as long as they have aphids or mites to eat. They may not work for everyone depending on where you live but these things worked miracles in my backyard and it’s only been 1.5 months.

Hard to tell.
I was really hoping this would help my garden outside with thrips particularly but also mites. When they arrived I was worried because I could only see a few alive in the pack. I had also ordered ladybugs from this company and those came in fantastic shape. I know these are much smaller and mostly eggs so it's very difficult to gauge how many actually survived and went on to my garden. My big issue is also avoiding the ants. Ants, from what I have read, will eat the eggs before they hatch. So I tried my best to place the boxes away from where ants could get them but the issue with that is then it's difficult to put the eggs near where the pests are located.I have seen signs of a few lacewings that either survived from this or were naturally in my garden already. Eggs that were laid and I have seen a couple of adult lacewings. So I am torn. I would actually give these another try but next time I will order the starter food for the lacewings and only expose them to my garden once they hatch. I noticed after I ordered that this brand sells the food. They include the eggs in what looks like wooden flakes in a mesh bag. I like that they provide a few tiny cardboard holders that I can place some of the eggs in and then hang in my garden. I do think the price is reasonable if there is actually the number of eggs included that is advertised. The trouble as I mentioned is knowing for sure since I can't see the eggs. I will likely be trying these again.

It's Alive!
They were delivered a day early which scared us because we were at work and it was incredibly hot outside. Fear not however, once we got home and got a microscope, we could see that some of the eggs had already hatched in to larvae and were moving around. I released them immediately. We have an indoor grow tent. 4 by 4 by 6. We released 5000 eggs. As they seem so active I am leaving 5 stars. If they are ineffective again my Aphid infestation I will update. For other possible purchasers, we have an infestation on our ghost, habanero, scorpion, Jalapeño, Tabasco, Anaheim, pepperoncini, and poblano peppers. As well as our collard greens. The aphids already destroyed our thyme and cilantro. We had tried neem oil and dish soap and they were not helpful. We don't want to introduce pesticides as we will be eating these items.Edit:I didn't change the stars but after a couple of days I realized nothing had really been eaten. They did not eat as much as I thought they would and all disappeared within days of releasing 4× as many needed for a 4×4 tent.

No eggs ever hatched out of supposedly 5000 I followed all instructions carefully so disappointedd
I have a serious issue with Spider mites on valuable Spruce Trees. Last year I used a mite killer solution and some Neem oil. So I waited all winter to see if the spider mites would show up again. Sure enough they came back. So since at least 6 months had passed I was certain any residual chemicals were not potent any longer. I figured I would try a predatory insect and the Green Lace Wing seemed like it would be a great solution. Received them quickly after ordering and got boxes and a see through plastic pouch with rice husks in it and a lot of tiny black eggs I suppose is what they are. I waited 3 weeks for anything to happen I got nothing but a bag of tiny round balls and rice husks for my money. Spider mites seem to be having a good time killing my 30 year old spruce trees and also my holly Hedges now.

Hard to know.
You really don't know how many lacewings you're actually getting, how many are actually getting into the trees and it's hard to measure the effectiveness. I've order these 5000 lacewings about a week or so ago. I'm still not really seeing results from new growth or evidence that it taking care of the problem. I had ordered 3000 lady bugs about month before and can't say I've any new growth or improvement thus far.
