Pokemon Diamond and Pearl Battle Dimension Box Set 3

Despite the limited information (and none on Amazon) online, it would only make sense for the skipped two-part Riolu special to be included on this third and final box set for the Pokémon DP Battle Dimension season. Not only does it finish out the season with the remaining 16 episodes, the second disc (volume 6) includes the illusive "Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu" (totaling 18), and this time correctly mentions Hunter J on the back of the box set (unlike Vol. 2). This is undoubtedly the best episode on the entire box set and worth mentioning that this is where you will find it!Also included are the remaining three Pokémon Summer academy episodes that were first effected by my faulty VCR (see my review of Battle Dimension Vol. 2), and despite how I've always felt about holding out hope for subs, I still wanted the dubbed version! The budding friendship between Ash and Angie (which later continues in "If the Scarf Fits...") makes up some of this collection's best moments, along with an understanding between Ash's newly-evolved Grotle and Paul's Torterra ("Aiding the Enemy"), and Ash's battle with Barry, a blindly loyal fan of Paul's ("Barry's Busting Out All Over!"). Again, when did the dub get good?!Okay, there are a few clunkers toward the end like "A Lean Mean Team Rocket Machine" and the poorly-dubbed "Sleepless in Pre-Battle" (Crescelia vs. Darkrai [if you want to see Darkrai in the animé, get the movie "The Rise of Darkrai"!]), but overall, it is absolutely worth owning.REGARDING BOTH BOX SETS 2 and 3:After being a Pokemon fan for so many years, DP Battle Dimension (season 11) was by far the best overall season yet. Our hero Ash's devotion and passion to protect Pokemon shines brighter than ever opposite his heartless rival Paul and cruel Pokemon hunter J...these box sets worth every penny, in plain English.

The Diamond & Pearl seasons of the Pokemon anime are show's best, doing things that the series should've been doing the entire time with multi-episode storylines, lots of recurring characters, hard hitting, badass (as strange as it may sound) villains, the Sinnoh Gym Leaders have a bigger presence and more personality than previous Gym Leaders, and the show actually uses the reigon's Elite Four & Champion.The 18 episodes in this set nicely represent that as Ash & friends running into old & new friends/rivals; have encounter gym leader Fatina, Champion Cynthia, Elite Four member Aaron and even a couple Pokemon Rangers; have two thrilling two-part adventures involving the evil Team Galactic and Hunter J; and even witness a battle between a couple of Legendary Pokemon.My one complaint is that, as always, these discs ONLY contain the American Dub, which greatly detracts from the show's over all qaulity with mediocre at best voice acting (Barry loses all the charm he had in the Japanese version) and dialogue (Team Rocket can't open their mouths without saying some clumsy or inappropriate pun/joke/ryhme). But the Japense language version is nigh-impossible to find outside of Japan, so beggars can't be choosers. Especially when you have such good episodes from such a good era.

I can't wait to watch all of battle dimension! Even though they don't make complete season box sets, you can buy these at a reasonable price now. If you buy box sets 1, 2 and 3, then you will have all of Battle Dimension. On here, Amazon lists them as "Vols. 1 & 2" (which is all of BOX SET 1), then "Vols. 3 & 4" (which is all of BOX SET 2), followed by Box 3 (which is all of BOX SET 3). If you are a Pokemon fan and enjoy the anime and want to complete some dvd box sets, buy these. Like I said before, these are reasonably priced now. So enjoy!Also, if you have Pokemon Indigo League (3 box sets), Orange Islands (1 box set), Master Quest (2 box sets), Advanced (2 box sets), Battle Frontier (2 box sets), and Diamond and Pearl (3 box sets) then you must have a lot of shelf room because all together these box sets do take up a lot of space. After you get through Galactic Battles (the next season after this) then the sets get thinner to save space.

Love watching the season with my daughter, brings back memories for me..The movie came in perfect condition, wrapped, but for some reason the last disk skips on some episodes, even though the disk it's self is perfect!?

On disc 2 episode 50 Sheild with a twist, the second half of the episode freezes and you cannot progress past this point. You can't skip ahead, you can't even watch the next episodes! I returned my first copy and got a second one, only to find it also had the exact same problem as the first one. in both cases the disk appeard to be in excellent condition with no visable scratches or marks on it. I am unbeliveably pissed off that this has happend not once but twice, even after I returned it and got a replacement! Other than this serious glitch on disk 2, the episodes on the other disk were all fantastic to watch and played just fine as they should've. I just wish I could get a clean copy of that second disk that will play the last few episodes.

Great season. Probably one of the best yet. Not the same as the original series, but good. I remember growing up with the original series when it premiered in 1998 in the united states. Im still a huge Pokemon fan , so I still purchase Pokemon products from the figures to the show and movies . Dont have any of the games so I mainly stay to the series and figure line of Pokemon and all their products are well made and amazing . Its Pokemon , its funa and still Lovable .

In this boxset the fun at the Summer Academy continues. The gang finally meet Fantina; The Hearthome Gym Leader. Team Galactic steal the Adamant Orb and Lustrous Orb. The gang meet Arron of the Elite Four, Ash's Turtwig evolves into Grotle, Ash battles Fantina for his 5th Sinnoh Gym Badge, Dawn's Swinub evolves into Piloswine. Darkrai and Cresselina clash and the gang help a Top Pokemon Ranger rescue a special Riolu from Pokemon Hunter J.

I got this DVD for the Riolu episodes. They are misplaced on this DVD, because they are set in a different position in the actual show, but I made sure this was the right one, and it is.After the Galactic Battles episodes, I wanted to see more of this Hunter J character. And boy is she dark. Trying to crush Ash and the gang with boulders, setting a forest full of Pokemon on fire, (and repeating the act in an attempt to kill Ash), kidnapping a frightened Riolu, and letting Ash get to her room so she can drop him to his death, a Knight of Cerebus if I ever saw one. And a karma houdini every time, well, except the last... Seeing Team Rocket's rivalry with her was entertaining as well, but the way she defeats them shows that no one except Mesprit and Uxie can get by her(Spoilers for Galactic Battles in the paragraph that follows)It's too bad Pokemon had to get less interesting after Johto, or else I might have stayed all the way through and seen through the Hunter J appearances the way that was intended, and been surprised by her unexpected death in Galactic Battles, as opposed to first hearing about her BY reading about her death scene, as I did

The shipping was fast, it came after a week.One thing I don't like it that is seems to be a bit damaged in the corners.
