Munchkin Cthulhu

Yea, it's pretty awesome. We own all of the major Munchkin expansions and this one ends up getting played far more than any of the others. Not that the others are inferior in any way, it's just that this one is so much stinking fun. And stinking fun is always better than other types of regular old non-smelly fun. If you are familiar with Munchkin, the humor in this themed set is exactly like you would expect. Better even. You are guaranteed *not* to be disappointed.That's not entirely true of course. When you get socks again for Christmas, you will still be disappointed. When your cat pees on your bed (again) you will be disappointed (why do you even still have that cat anyway?). When you....oh well, you get the idea. At least as far as enjoyment from this game goes, you will not be disappointed in that area of your life. *(No claims are made as to the actual level of enjoyment, merriment or un-quantifiable factor of "fun" to be had by playing Zombie Munchkin. Test results made on actual living people have been inconclusive in this area. Unfortunately no zombies were available for consultation during the survey.)*If you love Munchkin (even if you've never played it before), you should try this great game! I would highly recommend buying the other Zombie themed packs along with this for even more Zombie fun-power *(see legal qualification note above).And for people thinking they are tired of all the zombie hooplah, don't worry. Even grandma loves this one, and she doesn't like anything (else) zombie related. Good fun for the entire family (ours at least)!

Box content has a total of 180 cards:92 Door cards (Class cards Blogger, Kid, Militia & Scientist - There are no race cards in this expansion)76 Treasure cards12 Seal cardsOn the side of the box it says Ages 10+, 3-6 people (I'm sure you could have more if you combine more expansions) & it takes approximately 1-2 hours to play.Make sure you have something to keep track of your level (we use 10 sided dice)This is a great addition to the original, it can be played either stand-alone or as an expansion - Myself, wife and two kids all enjoy this game with it's humor although, some cards are somewhat crude, an example of such: an enemy called Lady Tata (has large rockets as a bra), also have cards showing blood and mild swearing. Using that information you can judge for yourself if you have children and want them to play or not.If you've played other Munchkin games this one has Disasters which are the same as Curse! cards in the original.Also there are Seal cards which are a new twist added to help fortify the appending doom of the apocalypse, they each have an effect when opened but if you have 7 open at once the game ends.Like I said, my family enjoys this and it helps expand on the original so we don't feel like we're getting the same cards all the time.

This is easily one of my favorites, if not my top pick for Munchkin. Like all other versions, the game play is the same, however Apocalypse adds in seals to the game. In short, they typically make life harder for the players, but add a level of challenge and complexity. It also makes another way to win- if seven seals get opened, the game ends and players are forced to count up their bonuses to determine a winner. On top of the seals, the cards are top notch. I would highly recommend this if you have already played or already own a Munchkin game. I would recommend starting out with the original version if you're a first timer. This is not to say you should not get it for your first game, but I think the original is a nicer transition into the Munchkin world. My opinion of course!As a point of reference, I currently own the following Munchkin versions: original (obviously a top pick), Legends, Apocalypse (top pick), Cthulhu, Zombies (top pick), Star Munchkin, The Good, The Bad, and The Munchkin, Munchkin Booty (top pick), Pathfinder, and Munchkin Impossible.

The addition of the seal rule makes this game way different than the other munchkins. In the three times I've played a player has yet to win by lvls. there are a lot of high bonuses, but you need them to beat the monsters that gain a plus 1 for every seal and play and also gain strength through the seals continuing affects. Most of the monsters also do not have the will not pursue you clause if you are at a lower lvl. Their are also a lot of good items in this one, and the addition of vehicles which are nice. This game also does only have classes, so no races, factions, accents to help you out. The sheep impact exp is also a great addition.All in all this is an exciting unique yet still the same fun munchkin gameplay. games also can go faster than the original. I own the original, pathfinder, and apocalypse, and it would be difficult for me to decide on which one I like more. Although these three are more fun to me than the star and booty box sets.

Siempre me ha encantado los juegos de Munchkin. Sin duda, esta versión me gusta muchísimo, es muy graciosa, divertida y dinámica. Siempre juégalo con amigos que en verdad disfrute jugar juegos de mesas.

Everything came accordingly, except by the day of arrival, which was postponed one day, and because of that I couldn't play as planned with my friends on the weekend, I had to wait until monday.Despite that, everything is wonderful.

Mes fils avaient decouvert ce jeu a un centre aere. Je l'ai donc achete mais la regle du jeux incluse n'est pas evidente a comprendre. Je le trouve tres complique, je pense qu'avec le temps et l'experience c'est un tres bon jeu mais malheureusement je ne suis pas trop patiente. Donc decu.
