Okay for the price but you get what you pay for.
I'm editing a previous review I had on this product. For the price it can do the job if you are towing one bike. Add another and you start to run into issues. One major design flaw is the rack sticks out rather far from the hitch in a straight bar. While travelling across the country ours started to bend and sag and we had to get a new one because bumps would bottom out the rack and hit our tires. The plastic guards that hold the bike on keep them secure onto the rack. But high mileage and two bikes on the rack causes the plastic holders to slip along the bar over time. One mistake I made is purchasing this when my car has a 2 inch hitch. The plastic adapter while making a secure fit when you first put it on, will eventually compress and loosen the rack.Frankly pay $50 extra for a better one that way you don't have to buy two bike racks like I did.

Good rack, but THIS IS NOT A YAKIMA
Come on, Amazon...that's just shady. Advertising something as a Yakima to sell more. This is a ProRack brand, not Yakima brand.Decent rack, though. The screw in hitch bolt keeps it tight, but it precludes using a hitch lock or quick removal, almost a semi-permanent installation. Sturdily constructed, and even though the tie downs are velcro they keep it tight. The added security straps keep it as snug as you want. Also, this rack doesn't seem to bounce around as much as other hitch racks I've seen in this price range. But seriously Amazon, get with the program and quit lying in your product descriptions. You're better than that.

Very Sturdy
I was not expecting a rack that is as heavy and sturdy as this one turned out to be. It is almost over-built. It seems to work well with the Curt trailer hitch I installed on my Honda Accord coupe. The rubber mounts on which the bikes sit are very clever and allow a wide range of placement. With the odd geometries of modern bikes, this should be very helpful. Seems like a very good rack for the money.

You get what you paid for. The first day ...
You get what you paid for. The first day we used it the straps to hold your bike fell apart. The threads came loose. Luckily I double strapped it with my own tie down straps. It's not a quick carrier. You have to screw it in and the carrier vibrates too much and if you don't tie down your bikes, you will scratch your vehicle.

Heavy, large footprint and not designed to be detached
This rack seems unnecessarily heavy. If you're looking for a hummer style rack and don't mind having it on permanently this rack will probably suit you. It's comes with a bolt that is meant to fix the hitch to the receiver - it's not a quick release so either you keep it there or you keep a wrench handy and spend a couple of minutes detaching it. If you keep it in place, the rear clearance of your car will be extended by more than 1 foot since the arms cannot be easily detached or rotated upwards. I should have paid more attention to a previous review stating this was not a simple easy on-off rack. It's not.

Mounts pretty rigid with the adapter
Mounts pretty rigid with the adapter. Took a couple trips to find the best position to put the bike in. I use another velcro strap to pull the bike to the carrier and one to hold the front wheel to the bikes frame and that pretty much does it!

Definitely not Yakima quality
This rack left far too much to be desired. I was looking for a decent rack to transport my son's bikes to the BMX track. This rack is so unstable that I didn't bother to try to make the trip once. It moves horribly in the hitch even with the hitch pin tightened down as much as possible. The straps are also velcro rather than the typical hook and loop. The "tilt feature" requires pulling a linchpin and taking off the cotter however it is easy to see how quickly the cotter will become lost or bent out of shape. You get what you pay for I suppose however it is well worth the extra money to have the peace of mind of knowing your bikes will be on the rack at your destination.

Perfect for my Honda CRV
Very well made even down to the paint finish. If comes packaged very well also for shipping. Nothing was loose or rattling or missing. I am thinking I will drill a small hole at the end of the mounting pin so a small lock could be used. I am using the 1 1/4 inch hitch receiver so there is ample room on the pin for a hole. Yakima does sell a lock for the pin but it is expensive for what you get.
