PRI Manuka Honey Wound & Burn Dressing 2oz (Pack of 2)

The only reason that I gave this product 4 stars is that I found a comparable product (also on Amazon) for less. I have 4 large stage IV ulcers and using a tube a week. I really need a more cost effective way to heal them. Manuka Honey is definitely the answer. I use a much larger jar and sterile cotton tipped applicators which are easier to use for these particular wounds. Have tried many products for would healing over the years and Manuka honey has shown the most impressive results in both debridement and new tissue growth. Because of Manuka Honey they are close to healed and I thought surgery would be the only answer and that has it's own risks. Because of the antibacterial and antimicrobial properties of Manuka there has been no sign of infection in any of the wounds and considering they are all in the pelvic region that is impressive.

I purchased this after doing research on burns. I was trying to heal a second degree and third degree burn - the antibiotic ointment wasn't working after almost two weeks. As a last resort, before possibly needing a skin graft, I purchased this item specifically because it is UMF certified by the UMF Association - THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT if you're going to try Munuka Honey for its healing properties. The item you buy must be on the list of certified companies which can be found on the UMF Association site. I paid for it to be overnighted so as not to loose one more day of possible healing - it came right on time and after only four full days the skin looks amazing! It's not only soft and smooth but the wound has filled in, no more deep crevasses, blistering or peeling. Will continue to use until the skin is completely healed - so glad it came in a two pack! This not only saved my skin, healed the burn but seems to be creating a field where almost no scarring, dare I say no scarring, will be visible! YAHOO!

It did not get rid of my staph infection like others claimed. I was very hopeful after reading other reviews, however, it didn't work for me. I applied it to the area for 3 months, twice a day, and while it did seem to heal the outer layer of skin, it did nothing to kill the infection that was on the inside. It was on a repetitive cycle of getting better (or so it seemed) and then the outer layer of skin would erupt again, and the process would start all over again. I tried the honey after 3 failed attempts of antibiotics, so I thought homeopathic was the answer. Finally had to go to a specialist and have it lanced and cleaned out. I also gave it a try on some acne, but didn't seem to do much. If i knew then what I now... i would skipped the honey and gone straight to the specialist months ago. Good luck!

I have used Manuka Honey for over 3 years now and usually get the jars. This time I needed to get the honey in a tube as I am about to travel. This brand works just as well as the one I usually get and it is so much easier to dispense that I am thinking about changing to tubes permanently.The honey works well on all kinds of wounds, I even use it on my foot ulcers.Highly recommend this. The only negative about the tubes: Compared to the jars, you get a lot less honey.

This brand of Manuka honey with the UMF 15+ designation has made a huge difference in the healing of a difficult wound. The infection is completely gone and pain and inflammation are reduced to a minimal level. Results were apparent after only a couple of applications, and healing continues with regular application. There are a lot of Manuka honey brands and formulations out there, but after researching this specific product, I knew that it would provide the most benefits because of the testing and grading behind it. I can't say enough good things about this product and have re-ordered it several times based on the amazing results.

I had an operation on my foot for a small tumor and went and got the stitches out a couple weeks later.The next day the wound was completely open.I put this honey on it and a dressing for a couple of weeks.I think it helped keep infection out.It took my foot a long time to heal because of other problems so i don't really know if the honey aided in the healing.I have some left and plan to use it if needed again.

Amazing! I had a burn on my hand that was getting worse/not improving despite prescription ointment etc . I put this on it and it dramatically improved and is almost healed within 24 hours! Also it’s very easy to apply as it is thick.

This is a safe form of manuka (tea tree) honey for dressing wounds, especially burns. Difficult to say whether it is any better than just petroleum jelly, though. However, in view of the importance of achieving a rapid, scar-free heal, I would always choose this product.
