P h e n o m e n a l & unmatched quality!
Anyone need a true SS 2TB stick, this it is! Tested on torrenting applications...just like you who are reading this is planning to use. Don't deny it ;)PositivesVery fast, registers as a 3.2usb device. The speeds are blazing (untested) from a user experience only.Great heat distribution, this stick as you can imagine can get hot. The case around it is made of steel. It's created to cool down upon high file transfers. No other USB stick I found uses the entire stick as a heatsink to keep itself cool. My only complaint is not paying for copper instead of steal. Some users have reported that this can be modified in the future (outside warranty).*** I have confirmed this is a TRUE 2TB. Does NOT recycle data.NeutralIt's a beast when it comes to durability and ruggness. It's a tough monster that is heavy. If your looking for something light for keychain, look elsewhere. Yes keep any magnetics away from this too.NegativesHmm, no other color options? Copper would be a better more costly metal.I don't think encryption hardware/software is included (use your own).

This thing is spectacular.
I got this not sure how fast it would be, because the last flashdrive I got was unreliable and overheated. This one definitely gets warm after use, but it is so blazing fast. I have been using it for months now and have transferred so many files. I am extremely happy with it. The solid metal feel is sturdy and resistant while also protecting your fingers from the heat when you reach for it.It managed to make it through a hectic move across the country and I love the USB-C that comes with it. My Dad only has USB-C ports so it's perfect when he asks me for my videos. It transfers Gigabytes of data in seconds! Don't go for the ultra cheap ones, they don't store as much as advertised, are unreliable, and slow. My Dad lost Gigabytes of data because of this. Get this so you don't waste your time, and start enjoying blazing fast and reliable file transfers!

Amazing for video editors
Works great for video editing! I keep all my video files here as they would quickly clutter my PC. Runs really fast, zero issues here

Very Fast Write Speed that Does Not Slow When Nearing Capacity
I was in need of a fast writing, high capacity storage means in the form of a "thumb drive" but without their typical limitations. This miniature solid-state drive (SSD) was just what I needed. Writing speed with both small (in the 10-15kb range) and larger (a few to tens of mb) is very fast compared to the best and fasted flash drives I could find. Importantly it does not begin to slow after reaching about 50% capacity and reach a crawl at around 90%.The body and cover are metal (likely aluminum). It is therefore very sturdy and when covered seems immune to damage from careless handling, being carried in a pocket, etc.Be aware that this drive identifies as local (internal). This is [probably] done so that it can be easily used as a boot drive. Because of this, I had to make some odd and rather difficult adjustments to my custom programming that uses this drive as, by intentional design, it disallows certain operations to any internal drive. The device gets somewhat warm when simply connected (no reading/writing for hours) and quite warm during heavy write activity. The true purpose of the robust metal casing is likely that of heat sink. It seems effective as the temperature never approached what I consider "hot" for an electronic device.I have no way to assess the long-term durability and no experience with similar devices for comparison. Given the low price and essentially unknown Chinese manufacturer there are likely better choices for applications that find frequent heavy use.

This drive is fast! Awesome!
Wow!! This drive is awesome! Big space, really fast!! Impressive speed!! Does get really hot when copying large drive data, 247GB to be exact. But for the speed, super happy. Will buy a second one soon!!Size:huge! 2 trillion bytes!Storage capacity: bigger than my laptop driveValue for money:I think it is a great value to backup valuable data

Surprisingly fast and feels bulletproof!
I ordered this just to have a Windows To Go rescue disk and it handles that beautifully; runs virtually as fast as my system does when using my SSD. The speed is crazy! Read Gb/s in the mid 300's and WRITE in the high 200's. As others have said, it doesn't slow down on big jobs. It gets warm but not hot. This shows up on my system as a SCSI drive, different than my other USB Flash drives - is there an M.2 drive inside???? This acts more like a pure removable SSD than a USB Flash. Made of metal & feels bulletproof (maybe it IS!). Ordering more (bigger capacity) for sure.

Lasting quality!
Very good USB pen drive. The quality of the body is really showing. Inside, it's been doing the job for many months, now and I will look for more in the future. This brand sells a very good product. I highly recommend it!

Falls apart
2023-09-23 UPDATE:Do not buy this drive because it falls apart. See the attached photo. This happened to me soon after I bought my first drive, but at that time, SSK answered my email and sent me a free replacement. The exact same defect happened with the replacement several month later. When I emailed SSK recently, they refused to reply. The company clearly has deep quality problems. This is a shame, because the drive has potential. Also, the #1 feature that I used to like about this drive was that it had sustained good transfer speeds (see original review below). But lately I have noticed that its transfer speed seems to oscillate. (Well, it could be caused by the source SATA SSD that I am copying files from that is the culprit, but I think that it is more like the SSK thumb drive that I am copying to.)--------------------------------------------------ORIGINAL review:I am hungry for a high performance flash drive. I want an SSD on a small stick. The number 1 defect in every flash drive that I have owned up till now is that you get their rated speeds for maybe10-30 seconds, and then, due to crap thermal designs, the controller detects over heating and throttles the speed down by 3-5X. Disaster when you want to do serious file transfers. This drive, however, is the first that I have ever owned which seems to maintain its speed over long time periods. Writing a 20 GB file to it sees no diminishment in speed over the minute or so that that takes.I also love how the width and depth of this drive are minimal. My main complaint about this drive is that I do not like its flip cap. I would prefer a traditional cap. SSK: just make sure that you can put the cap on the non port end when you have the drive inserted, so that you do not lose the cap.SSK: you also need to revise this product to have a USBC-C version that gets the speeds of the Kingston DataTraveler Max. I would have bought the Kingston, but a) it is way too wide (causes port crowding) and b) it thermally throttles.

I recently got the SSK 128GB USB SSD Flash Drive, and it’s been a fantastic addition to my tech essentials. It’s compact, super-fast, and versatile, making it perfect for managing my files across different devices with ease.Pros:Incredible Speed: The transfer speed on this drive is outstanding. With up to 550MB/s, large files move over in seconds, which has saved me so much time. It’s significantly faster than any standard USB drive I’ve used before, making it ideal for transferring high-resolution photos, videos, and other large files.Compact and Portable Design: It’s small enough to slip into my pocket or attach to a keychain, which is great for portability. Despite its compact size, the build feels solid, and I don’t worry about it getting damaged with daily use.USB-C Adapter for Versatility: The included USB-C adapter has been incredibly useful. I can easily switch between my laptop, tablet, and smartphone without any hassle. It’s perfect for managing files across multiple devices, whether I’m working from my MacBook or accessing files on my phone on the go.Plug-and-Play Convenience: It’s truly plug-and-play—no drivers or setup required. Just plug it in, and it’s ready to go, which has made it easy to use for quick data transfers without any fuss.Perfect for Backup and Media Storage: With 128GB of space, I use it to back up important documents, store photos, and even carry a few movies and media files for offline access. It’s been extremely reliable for all my storage needs.Cons:The only minor downside is that it can get a little warm during long file transfers, but it hasn’t impacted performance or speed.Overall: If you’re looking for a reliable, high-speed USB SSD flash drive, the SSK 128GB model is an excellent choice. Its speed, compact design, and included USB-C adapter make it incredibly versatile, and it’s been a perfect solution for my storage needs across different devices. Great random access speeds.
I purchased this flash drive for the purpose of running a personal Windows instance while travelling with my work laptop. I've attempted this in the past but haven't been successful as most flash drives do well with sequential access then fall on their face when it comes to random access. I'd previously resorted to using a 2.5" SSD in an external enclosure but it's a bit unwieldy when using my laptop in a small space (e.g. on my lap on a bench, on an airplane tray table, etc.) or moving around. Therefore, I decided to give the flash drive approach another shot. There are probably other flash drives that would do well (e.g. Kingston DataTraveler Max) but I was looking for a balance between cost and performance, which I think I've found in the SSK SD300. For small to medium sized files, it benchmarks on par with my 2.5" Samsung 970 EVO (in an external enclosure), even beating it slightly in some tests. Most importantly, it keeps up in the random access department. However, its limitations become telling when hitting it with sustained writes (either with very large files or just hammering continuously). It gets very hot and performance is impacted. We'll see if this has any long term implications as I see quite a few reviews about it conking out in short order. In summary, SSD flash drives still aren't quite up to par but they are getting there. For my use case, it works well enough and I'm willing to trade a bit of performance for a compact form factor. However, if you're going to be transferring large files or using it for sustained writes, this flash drive might not be the right choice for you.

Really fast and reliable
Fastest drive I've ever used. I've had it for 2 years, I think, and it hasn't slowed down like my Patriot drive. I even ran a couple FEA from it accidentally and it was able to handle it. It doesn't really get to 500mb/s, but it's still very fast.
