An effective humane trap.
The ZoarC ZC011 traps are easy to bait and set and work well. I baited them with a pea-sized chunk of very aromatic, aged Romano cheese and set them along the baseboards of a room that we had seen a mouse in. The traps caught two very small mice within 36 hours—the first one within 10 minutes of setting the trap! We have not trapped or seen any mice since, so they may have been the only two in the house. I bought two pairs of these to replace two larger, wire-mesh no-kill mousetraps. The metal traps were bulky, tricky to set, tended to trip if jostled or vibrated, and didn't always trip as they should when very lightweight mice entered. Also, the mesh floor allowed a frightened mouse to urinate through the bottom.

Works like a dream!
I had a wood rat in my laundry room who came through the dryer vent and took up residence in the corner next to the dryer. My mouse trap was too small, so he easily extricated himself repeatedly over a period of four nights. I therefore ordered this trap, which arrived very quickly. Tonight, I put a piece of apple in the tray, and not 20 minutes passed before my dog alerted us that the trap had sprung. Sure enough, there he was, huddled at the end. The picture really doesn’t show how large he was. He was probably 4 inches long, and a very healthy, perplexed rat. I let him go outside in the sagebrush next to our dumpster, then transferred all of the lint and bedding he had stolen from my field mouse, Dickens’, cage to his new home. Fortunately, there were no babies in the nest. I pray s/he will be OK, having become quite comfortable in the warm house. This trap is failsafe. There were no sharp edges that could harm him, it was a breeze to clean, and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to relocate a rat or mouse from inside their house. Before seeing how huge he was, I considered setting him up next to Dickens’ condo in one of his own, but he was so large he would have been unable to fit through the chutes.

Should be called a mouse feeder!!!
This may work for a big rat, but it doesn't work for mice. Mice are too light weight to trigger the door closing apparatus. Numerous mice got a free meal before I returned them. I thought maybe it was defective, so I used the other one.... Same thing... Just gave out free meals... Food gone, no mouse.

So Easy
Have the cutest little field mice that get into my kitchen, but can't bring myself to kill them. Bought two of these traps, put peanut butter on a little pretzel and get a mouse every time. Mouse isn't hurt and I take them down the road a few miles and set them loose near an abandoned building. I'm happy , the mouse isn't hurt. Win-Win situation. Easy to use, no mess.

Easy set up.
Easy to set up. Haven’t caught one yet, but hopefully that’s because I went overboard on the other preventative measures throughout the house.

Hasn't worked, very disappointed
So far, it hasn't trapped a mouse and I know we have one. I am very tempted to return it.

Worked sfter several tries...
The media could not be loaded. First few times, the mouse ran in & out several times.Seems like baby mice are too light in weight to trip the door.

The traps work great. The clear tube is important to verify if ...
These traps are phenomenal! I bought 6 of these one month ago to use in our large commercial building. Every fall we get invaded by mice seeking a warm dry home. In the past month I've caught 113 mice and 4 rats in my six traps. I take them to a large open field where they can live wild and free. The traps work great. The clear tube is important to verify if a customer is inside. I started out using peanut butter, but it gets pretty messy. Several times I found a blob of peanut butter/feces stuck to the inside top of the tube - I have no idea how they do that. I now only use graham crackers, which are equally irresistible.I did remove the black bottom panel to clean between the trip door and the bottom - this broke a tiny piece of plastic that holds one end of the spring. In order to continue using the trap, I put the spring end through an adjacent hole in the bottom - unfortunately this increases the spring force and I've been feeding more crackers without catching some of the mice (smaller mice won't trip it now). Don't remove the bottom panel!!!All in all, these are the most effective traps I've ever used. And I'm replacing the ones I damaged by taking them apart.
