Miniwax Expess Clean Protective Wiping Finish High Gloss

This really worked well!! I was refinishing the fretboard on an old 1970s telecaster. The rub on aspect is superior than spraying. I was concerned at first because when first applied this liquid has a whitesh color not clear? In the final analysis this project came out so great. Multiple coats are a breeze dries very fast with a good sheen. Finish is so smotth as desired. Very happy with this product.

Bought a bare wood door slab to replace the glass pantry door for kitchen used a natural stain for the knotty wood was concerned if would be able to match the sheen of the kitchen cabinets put just after 2 coats it was “ perfect” , was easy to use, the smell was minimal, it dried quickly with an hr . The sheen is very nice and no brush strokes , a good quality product for the money , a good value

This stuff comes shooting out and goes all over the place if not careful, even when using the minimum pressure needed to get it out of the tube. It does apply easy, and gives a nice shine.

We were refinishing a bathroom vanity that was converted from a dresser and has a wooden vanity surface with vessel sinks. I wasn't sure how this clear gloss would compare to the previous poly on the original vanity and especially how it would protect and hold up against water spills. After applying 3 coats to the top of the piece and letting it cure for 24 hours, it wasn't as thick as poly or shiny as I had expected - but I must say it does seem to hold up against water spills. Application was super easy with a clean cloth and I used this on top of one of the similar Minwax Water Based Express Color products. Very happy with the overall finish and ease of application for a first-time stain user. Would definitely use again and recommend.

This stuff feels more like paste than a durable finish. It's not entirely transparent when it dries, and even after left to dry for a few days, it "melted" when water was left set on it for a few minutes.

Low odor high shine. Takes a bunch of thin coats because if you glob it on it doesn't dry properly. This is the only thing I have found so far that gives my creations a store quality look.

I wasn't sure what to make of this product in "gloss" form. I especially wasn't sure after squeezing the tube to see the product was white, not clear. In any event, I applied three gloss coats over Minwax Express - Oak and it actually does leave a gloss finish. I like it! It's easy to use and has almost no odor whatsoever. The finish is nice, dries fast and is on my list of approved products for people who have an aversion to painting.

Used if on some autographed bats , and it works great.

I make small projects like jewelry boxes and often incorporate epoxy resin. The finish is very thin and goes on extremely well with a soft rag. It's easy to apply to the areas that are intended to be treated and not run over onto the other portions of your project. One warning when you squeeze the tube it shoots about two and a half feet so make sure your egg is ready for it. Better to just remove the lid. Once a small portion of your cloth and saturated you can put thin layers on your wood and expect excellent results.
