Kingslim Dash Cam Front and Rear with WiFi - Kingslim D2 Pro 4K Single Front/2K+1080P Front and Rear Dual Dashcam for Cars with Night Vision and 24H Parking Monitor, 256GB Max Supported, Black

I originally purchased the Kingslim D2 a couple years ago, which is the earlier model/iteration of this combo front/rear dashcam system. I noticed right away a few huge improvements worth mentioning: 1. The higher resolution. This device supports full 4K recording and continues to support front-rear simultaneous recording, parking sensor control, GPS tracking support, etc. 2. SMARTPHONE APP!!! The worst part of using the device was the tedious process of grabbing a microsd card, uploading a video, and remembering to put it back. this one has support for a wireless network connection to remotely record, download, and adjust settings for the device. You hold the far left button to enter the dashcam into wireless mode, download the Kingslim app from the app store, and then register an account. It's super easy and you just select your device from the screen. 3. They moved the buttons to the bottom and included a display for the buttons in the screen which is really useful -- makes it far easier to see and control the settings from the front (originally the buttons were on opposite sides) Beyond that, you'll see all the usual great features as attached in my video showing what comes in the box: the usual attachment cords, 12V power, rear connection, mounting hardware, etc. The device uses an easy suction attachment to the front, and a sturdy tape in the rear. It was super easy to install in the rear and route the cables in my SUV (Ioniq 5) Overall image quality looks stellar given the higher quality sensor and improved FOV and aperture size. I used a 64GB SD Card but it supports up to 256GB microSD cards. Make sure you use a fast u3 one for 4K support. All in all it's a clear major upgrade from the Kingslim D2, but more importantly an impressive overall high end dashcam with all the conveniences you want from an all-in-one system.

I was looking for a reasonably priced dash cam when I found this one. I have used it for a month and am more than satisfied with its quality and price. It included everything necessary to mount and install the dual dash cam in my 2013 Nissan Altima. The camera came with a pry tool to help hide the wires, double-sided tape to mount the rear cam, and adhesive wire clips to tidy up the job. You do need to purchase an SD Card. I bought a Samsung Pro Endurance 256GB SD card for mine. The max size SD card this dash cam can use is 256GB. The daytime and nighttime footage are of good quality. You have three recording options, 4K, 2K, and 1080P. The dual recording option is unavailable with 4K recordings and only works with 2K and 1080P recordings. The rear camera records at 1080P in both modes. You have multiple ways to view your video and photos. You can hook the camera to your computer via a USB/mini cable. You can eject the SD card and view it on your computer. You can also install the Kingslim application on your phone, press and hold the far left button on the dash cam to enter into the wireless mode, find the wireless connection on your phone, and enter the password. In the application, you can change settings(including starting and stopping records), view, and download videos and photos straight to your phone. This dash cam seems to be a good product, and they have good customer service support to back up their product. They responded quickly and took care of all my issues and concerns.

Updated review! Actually needed the footage and it stopped looping even though it is still in that setting, so I didn’t get the video that was much needed! Money wasted! I’ve had several dash cams. This one is solid. Good quality and had plenty of cord to run the rear camera all the way to the tailgate of my truck. Can also double as a backup camera is properly placed.

Have been using this dashcam for my car for over a week now ~ my previous one broke and thought I should try out a new brand. The setup takes a solid afternoon to finish but once it's finished everything works gloriously! Compatible with Android and iPhone (just download the KINGSLIM app, very simple interface and the customer service was very helpful to help me connect it to my smartphone via 4G, not bluetooth), this has once again given me a piece of mind when driving on dangerous roads. My microSD card is 16GB and it inserts right into the main camera which is also connected to the smaller rear camera (no need to buy separate SDs). While the resolution is good it's the NIGHT VISION that was very excellent and way better than my previous dashcam - you can literally see everything almost like daytime which is good for legal issues. As others have said, this thing is packed full of features that I didn't know I needed (such as the shake / collision detection). Hopefully this company continues developing excellent models

This cameras quality surpassed by expectations zero issues with the footage set up was extremely easy however I do have a few issues. Firstly I couldn’t get the rear camera to work no matter how hard I tried but that’s okay for me. Secondly you have to be near the camera for it to upload footage to your phone. Overall I would buy this again just would buy two if using for the rear.

Edit: I told the customer service before the return, and they sent me a new one rapidly afterward. I received the box after 2 days. I have used the new camera for about a week till today. The camera itself is compact and the installation is easy. I can easily connect the new dash cam to my phone. The video quality is great, and the camera works stably without missing any footage. Overall, the new camera is very nice, and the customer service impressed me a lot. In my case, this company is responsible, just contact them if you have any problems with the product. I would buy from them again if I needed to and would be happy to recommend it to others. Original: I received the dash cam but failed to connect to my iPhone 12, so I can’t watch the recorded videos on my phone, garbage, will return back.

Update 9/2024 - Out of the blue, my camera just decided to start recording for 3 seconds and then stop, then start for 3 and then stop, and so on and so forth. No apparent reason, I installed a new SD card in case the one that was in it became defective, no luck, even went back to an older SD card that I know works with the unit but no luck. I checked the wiring, even dug up the original power cable that I have never used and still does the same thing. I am guessing the useable life for these things might be about 2 years. It is a shame as I have enjoyed using the unit. Ahh well, time to upgrade to a Viofo I guess. I purchased this item like many do, to protect myself and my property. I purchased the hardwire kit along with it and installed it on a Saturday morning and it was fully installed in an hour or so. The hardest part of the install was running the wires along the trim but there was a tool sent in the hardwire kit that made it easier to lift the rubber seals without damaging them. The suction cup that holds the camera to the windshield has not had any issues so far several weeks after install. I own a truck so I installed the rear camera next to my sliding window and it provides excellent coverage of the bed/rear of the truck. Once installed, the menus to set the device up were pretty self explanatory but there was a manual you could get using a QR code which helped explain the details of each menu item a bit more thoroughly. I installed a 128 gig memory card (sold separately) and downloaded the app for my smart phone (its free) and so far have been quite happy with the purchase. The playback is easy to use albeit, you have to either remove the card and use an adapter to use on a PC or be close enough to connect to the camera's system wirelessly. It records in short intervals which, to me, is what I was looking for as it keeps the file size from being too large. I would recommend this item to anyone looking for an affordable all in one dash camera system.

I think it is about time to write a review about this dashcam. I have owned this camera for almost 2 years now. Pros: the resolution is very high. You can easily see the license plate in the night records and if you download the video, you can zoom in and see even clearer. Easy to install and the suction cup works very well. Now to the cons: most of the time the app does not work. It just refuses to connect to my phone, and I have to pull the SD card to get the videos. But that is not the thing that concerns me most about this camera, I live in southern California and sometimes the temperature gets so high (above 90) and the camera malfunctions. It will record only 60 seconds of each trip and stops for the rest. I thought for a while that it was broken but when the weather cools down it will work again perfectly. If you live in a hot climate area like me, be prepared to miss any close call accident because your dashcam will not record it. And what a dashcam could be worth if it does not save you the hassle of proving you are incent to the insurance company or the police. Lastly, the battery died within the first year and the parking mode does not work anymore unless if you like to connect the camera to your car battery.
