16Pcs Gundam Modeler Basic Tools Craft Set Hobby Building Tools Kit for Professional Model Assemble Building

Decided to build my first model and wanted a kit that would have what I need without investing a whole lot of money. Seeing some sprue clippers alone for $50 started to make me reconsider this as a hobby but I went ahead and tried this kit out. Yeah it’s essentially a manicure kit but has everything you need and I’m glad I got it. If I decide to continue this hobby I will eventually want better quality but it’s perfect for now.

great little kit. not heavy duty but for little models and projects it works great

Most of the items that came with this kit are substandard, low quality, and pooly manufactured.Here is an overview.1. Metal Ruler 15cm (Good Quality) - I kept this.2. Emory Boards (Both are designed for finger nail use and very large but ok quality) - I pitched these in the trash. Useless for modeling.3. Knife and Blades aka Trimmer Pen and Blades (Low Quality but appear ok) - I kept both items for cutting out transfers.4. Three Piece File Set (Total Junk- Low Quality Metal Sticks Dipped in a Material to Make it Abrrasive. Not Suitable for model/miniatures work.) - I pitched these in the trash. Useless for modeling.5. Tweezers (Ok Quality) - I kept these for use with model transfers.6. Clippers (Cheap, Low Quality Wire Clippers. Not suitable for modeling.) - I pitched these in the trash. Useless for modeling. You're better off just going to the hardware store and buying a set.7. OPI Block (Once again, designed for finger nail use and very large but ok quality) - I pitched this in the trash. Useless for modeling.8. Grinder and Attachments (Designed for finger nail use and very large but ok quality) - I pitched these in the trash. Useless for modeling. (I did test it first. Wobbley and not for detailed, precision work.)9. Model Separator (Cheap piece of plasic designed to pry apart Gundam parts) - I kept it, might find some use for it.10. Polishing Cloth (Cheap piece of fabric.) - I pitched this in the trash. Useless for modeling.11. Plastic Box (Moderate Quality) - I might find a use for it.I mainly do miniature building (Warhammer, D&D, etc) but I also work on some other models. I have several traditional model kits and Gundam figures that I have built and painted over the years so I thought this kit might have some value but it doesn't. Just a repurposed nail care kit with a couple of modeling items thrown in to it. All fairly low quality. I recommend you aovid it.The ONLY reason my review isn't one star is that I can find a use for some of the items. Particularly number 11.

Just What I needed

Not bad at all. I don't need too many files, tweezers, etc so this set is perfect for me. Minimalism at it's best (budget)!!
