I have a few tanks and after 400 pumps with my high pressure pump, this unit is not filling. Defective.

I got this mini scuba tank today and I could not be more impressed with it. I'm going to use it when I go snorkeling and I want to dive down just a little bit deeper. I plan on taking it to Ginnie Springs in Florida when I go snorkeling. I have always wanted to dive down to look at the outside of the cave, but couldn't hold my breath long enough to really enjoy the view down there. This little mini tank could be used as an emergency tank in a squeeze but it only gives you 5-10 minutes of air, normally back up tanks give you a little more air time. It's made of aviation aluminum, it can take 3,000 PSI/200 Bar, it is lightweight, and great for tight places. It has a silicone mouthpiece, which is food grade silicone and very comfortable when you have it in your mouth. The tank is made very, very well and is corrosion resistant. The sticker on the tank is easily removable if you don't want it on there, I took mine off with very little effort. The purge is very aggressive, so be very careful when using it. Your regulator may or may not need to be adjusted, so have the dive shop take a look at it if you aren't certain how to do it. As a safety, if you're only using this small tank I would always use a stop watch to keep yourself aware of how much air you have left because a lot of gauges on small tanks aren't always 100% accurate. DOT has only certified this tank to 2900 PSI, and not the 3,000 PSI that's stated, so keep that in mind. The tank is very fun to use, but have your dive shop double check the settings prior to your first use. This tank is better than described and I highly recommend it!

I needed to make a quick decision when I first had an opportunity to order this tank. Unfortunately, that made me sloppy in my research. I hate to admit this, but when I saw “snorkeling”, I thought this would be a great way to supplement a casual outing. While I am a certified scuba diver, I haven’t been able to actively enjoy the hobby for a lot of years, so I thought this would be a nice little bonus to snorkeling that would allow me to stay 10-15 feet deep for a few minutes. What I didn’t take time to understand is that filling these tanks on my own requires a special adapter, to filter oil and water, and a high-pressure pump. You can’t just hook this up to your bike pump, or even your standard air compressor, to fill it. You’ll need a special adapter and a high-pressure pump. So, if you’re going to go with one of the basic kits offered, you’ll want to be sure you already own these components, are willing to invest in them, or plan to fill this tank at a scuba store. If you want to be able to inflate it on your own in a pinch, I recommend going with the C-Black, D-Black, or D-Green kits which I believe all include the pump and adapter. That said, I spent some time reading on this and watching videos, and filling this tank manually sounds like quite a lot of effort, and I’m not sure the payoff is worth the effort if you only have 10-15 minutes of shallow scuba in mind to go along with snorkeling. It has far more potential as an emergency tank. As for the equipment itself, I’m at a bit of a stalemate for fully testing it until I either invest in the equipment to fill it or decide to take it to a scuba shop. It feels like quality though. What I can test of the breathing apparatus feels smooth, and the tank feels solidly built. If I were looking for an emergency tank to take on dives, this would be a strong consideration for me.

This is something I wanted for a very long time so when I saw them such a deal I knew I had to have it. I look forward dto using this ove rather coming summer after I am certified this next few months. The fits and attached perfectly! And it the perfect size and weight!

Very good for shallow areas and emergency cases you can dive and appreciate marine life in any case the redemption was about 7 minutes in 10 to 15 feet of depth The bottle comes unassembled but is easy to put together and comes with all the rubber seals.

This is a review of the CHIKADIV C300 mini refillable Scuba Tank. I am open water SCUBA certified, and I ordered this as a back-up air source in the event of emergency while diving. In addition, my boys expressed an interest in diving so I plan on using this in our backyard pool to teach them the basics of how to breathe under water in a controlled environment. After attaching the regulator to the cylinder, I filled the tank to its recommended capacity which took about 10 minutes with my compressor. I did a test run in my backyard pool and everything worked as expected. I didn't run into any issues with the regulator free flowing and I easily got a little over 10 minutes under water. The air pressure gauge also accurately reflected the amount of air in the tank as I used it until the tank was empty. I would use extreme caution using this if you are not a certified SCUBA diver, despite the product description stating there is no skill requirement for an amateur. You can easily use this product to get to depths below 15 feet, which could potentially cause harm or death. There are so many considerations and things you need to know when SCUBA diving, so this product really should be limited to using as a back-up source of air.

I've not had the chance to take this diving yet, but was able to fill it at my local dive shop and tested it out. It works as expected and should be a good backup for scuba, or a nice addition for snorkeling.

We are living in a new world where you can spend an hour pumping up a tank and then bring it underwater and breathe for 10 minutes. It is small and light, and only take a few minutes to get used to. I didn't give it five stars because pumping it up is so difficult. An electric pump would get that 5th star.
