Powerful Label Maker with Easy Bluetooth Setup
This label maker is easy to use and offers many great features. The Bluetooth connection works smoothly, making it simple to design and print labels from your phone or computer. The print quality is clear and professional, and there are plenty of customization options to work with. Itโs a bit bigger than basic models, but that comes with the extra features and functionality. Overall, a solid, reliable label maker for home or business use.

Buy thgis printer rather than the less expensive model
After purchasing a lower priced model (Brother P-Touch PT-D410), and then returning it after having issues with it, I purchased this one. Not only does it print both the narrower labels that the other printer used, but also can use wider labels, which makes a huge difference in being able to print more lines, or use larger fonts for greater visibility. I am using the software on a desktop computer, easy to use software with lots of options. I have printed close to 200 labels so far without any issues. One caveat, if you print one label at a time you will waste over a 1/4 inch of the next label for the "cutoff". To avoid this use the "Chain" selection on the print page, then continue to print multiple labels after that and it will not waste that 1/4 in on each label, just the last one you print. Good printer.

Works great as long as you use the older software
Great Label Printer just note this: Online manual is confusing because it talks about features not available in the newest version of P Touch editor (v 6). Long story short: If you want some of the advanced features of this Label printer, use the older version of the software- at least until Brother updates 6 to have the same features as 5.4. To get 5.4 you have to chose an older model like QL570 and get it from there. You can run 6 and 5.4 at the same time, but you may have to uninstall and reinstall the print driver when you add the second version and then you are good. Version 5 lets me import from Excel and print serial numbers out as bar codes. Should be great for inventory at work and they include a working sample with 5.4 Both Bluetooth and USB work great. You have to use USB for some functions like template transfer Tape cartridges are not cheap but are reasonable. As a IT admin for 30 years, I have had good luck with Brother products. They are not perfect but have been super reliable . As a homeowner, I like them enough that I just ordered a their new color laser (LED) (MFC-L3780CDW) today! Not looking forward to buying toner but worth it to get away from inkjet and all the problems they come with. One last thing: if you are on the line between this 610 model and the slightly cheaper 410 model: The 610 is worth it for sure. I have the 410 and while it works great, the 610 offers a lot more connectivity because of Bluetooth . You can't easily print (if at all) to the 410 from your phone because it lacks bluetooth. The color screen on the 610 is MUCH MUCH easier to SEE because it larger, backlight and in color. I can barely see the 410 in my home office as it is on the dim side. No issue with the 610. Also the 610 prints 1" compared to 3/4" tape for the 410. The $60 extra is well worth it to me.

Great results on kitchen ceramic pots!
I recently got this label printer. I have to admit that it beats all my expectations! I is highly versatile in label sizes, fonts and styles. I can connect it to my PC via USB or to my phone via Bluetooth. I installed the Brother apps on it and I can print labels in additional languages that are not available out of the box. The packaging of the device is strong and the touches are clear and easy to use (not too small). The first test was in the kitchen, on all ceramic containers for various ingredients. The results are fantastic. My only regret: I did not get one of these earlier!. I highly recommend this item. I got a transport case for it, also available on Amazon. It is worth it.

Good but not perfect
This refurbished Brother label maker works well and is easy to use. There are lots of fonts to choose from, plus extras like symbols, frames, and various font styles. I like these many options because you can really personalize the labels. Another positive is the box it came in. ๐คฃ I know that sounds silly, but it holds the machine, the cords, and several tape cartridges (see photo). It's cardboard, so who knows how long it will last, but it is convenient. The reason for 4/5 stars is that the screen is somewhat cloudy (see photo) and won't come clean. I guess that's one of the chances you take when buying refurbished, though. I should note that this does not affect the machine's functioning. Overall, it's a good machine for a somewhat better price than you'd pay with new.

Great way to organize and label everything! Love it.
Love these brother label makers. I had one but just had to get this one so I could use the larger approx. 1โ tape. Also using my computer to setup and print labels will be great. Comes with an adapter or you can use batteries. Uses I think 5 or maybe 6 different sizes of tape which come in lots of colors.

Great labeler
My last Brother P-touch lasted over 10 years, but the display finally started going bonkers, so it was time for a new one. I also wanted one that could use 1" tape, so this model is really the only choice. The automatic cutter is nice too. I had no problem connecting via bluetooth to my laptop or downloading and installing the Windows software. I didn't bother with the mobile app. It's easy enough to create commonly used label types right on the printer, but the software on a PC (or Mac) allows you to do a lot more if need be. I had no problems at all using the latest software. This labeler comes with a power supply which is nice; it was an extra-cost option on my old one. Being able to use batteries or AC power is convenient. Mine will mostly sit on my workbench, but it's nice to be able to take it elsewhere without having to find some place to plug it in. I agree with another reviewer that if you can afford it, go with this model. It's the only one that can print on 1" labels and even if you don't need that now, you might someday. It's not a huge investment and you will probably find yourself using it more than you thought you would. I also have a Brother all in 1 laser printer/copier/scanner. I've had good experiences with Brother products so far.

This labeler ROCKS!! A++++
HIGHLY recommended labeler! I've owned a non-discontinued P-Touch PT-6100 for years and years. Still works great, but only takes a max of 12mm wide tapes. Time for wider! I'm pretty good with mechanical stuff and was EASILY able to get this running, no manual required (although one is packed and will make good bathroom reading at some later date for the details, lol). Here is a quick-start guide:) * Take the unit out of the plastic bag and peel off the protective film on the top over the display window and one behind it that will show the tape cartridge label. * Flip the unit over, setting it on a towel or it's box to protect the screen, and take off that battery cover. Insert 6 AA batteries like in the photo here, but - pro tip, lol - there two kinds of AA these days. Either will work, but the ones labeled "Max", or in this case "EDGE" from a big box tool store, have low internal resistance, meaning the voltage will stay constant longer. They cost a bit more, but you get what u pay for! Put the battery cover back on. Pro-tip #2: rotate the batteries so that a word printed on them faces up, like I've done with EDGE here. That lets you easily see if you have them all in the correct direction. * Flip the unit back over and NOTE, the tape cartridge bay cover is the back 1/3 of the top plastic with the display window. You can see the two hinges in the back. There are finger holes on the left and right side where the words "Brother" and "P Touch" are at. Stick ur fingers in those and gently pull the top up to expose the tape bay. * A TRICK! That white lever must be pulled up to get the cartridge in, and it STAYS UP when you close the lid. The level pushes the tape against a roller. Closing the lid will do that for you. The lever on mine was down and needed to be pulled up initially. * Open up the 24 mm (1") tape cartridge the unit comes with. NOTE! It says SAMPLE which usually means it is only partially filled as a demo. Don't be surprised if it runs out quickly. Time to get an order for more tapes in here at Amazon. * Orient the cartridge as shown on the plastic in the bay. The tape will go out of that hole in the case on the left. Then just gently press it down. * Close the lid (with lever up). * Press the red "on/off" button on the left for one second or so. The unit starts up and asks for your language. THAT IS IT! You are ready to label! Start typing in what you want. Press the "caps" key if you want all caps, like I did in the photo here. * When done, hit the green "print" button on the right. It will come up asking how many to print, which is pretty cool! It defaults to 1, so if you just want one all you need to do is press print again. No need to enter anything. * And away it goes! This unit has an electric cutter which is so nice. The old PT-6100 was manual cut, had to press a lever. * SUPER IMPORTANT PRO-TIP: IF YOU ARE STORING THE UNIT FOR MORE THAN A YEAR, TAKE THE BATTERIES OUT AND PUT THEM IN A SMALL ZIP BAG YOU CAN KEEP WITH THE UNIT. ALL BATTERIES LEAK CORROSIVE GOOD STUFF AFTER A FEW YEARS. DON'T TAKE THE CHANCE! Happy Labeling!
