HOYT Super Rest Rh

The plastic vanes on our practice arrows no longer affect shot accuracy when we use the Hoyt Super Rest. We tried half a dozen low cost arrow rests on our recurve bow to find all of them allow the plastic vanes to contact the rest. The contact causes our practice arrows to land off-center in the target. When we use the Hoyt Super Rest, our practice arrows fly straight and true into the target. After 70 practice shots, the Hoyt Super Rest looks the same as when we installed it on our bow. So, we bought a few extras because we can't match their performance using any other low cost rest.

This rest seems pretty delicate, and the reason I needed a new one is because I wrecked the rest that came with my bow by shooting plastic-vaned arrows without orienting them correctly on the string. So now I’m shooting the same arrows, with the nocks and canes aligned correctly, and we shall see how durable this rest is. I bought two. It was easy to scrape the old rest off and stick this one on. I used the thinner of the two adhesive pads provided. It shoots great (better than using a broken rest).

I miss the old Hoyt Rest from the 70's but I needed one more. Happily this one works as well as my old rest plus two options for tuning the vertical displacement were included.(By the way my 40 year old Hoyt Rest same design but with a leather plate worked fine for my other bow, the adhesive was still good, but it was my last one.)

Works well hasn't broken yet.

I used this rest on a takedown recurve with a wood riser. It shoots beautifully. I was surprised at how well it holds up since it’s such a thin rest arm. This is my new favorite.

I didn't like the rest, it was too thin for my arrows.

So far so good. My arrows have needed a rest for some time.
