Limited triple black vinyl in trifold jacket. On offer are 33 songs, taken from throughout the 20-year career of the Belgian legends. Hooverphonic formed in October 1995. Though early on categorized as a trip hop group, they quickly expanded their sound to the point where they could no longer be described as a lone genre, but rather encompass alternative, electronica, electropop, rock, and mixture of others. The band originally called themselves Hoover, but later changed their name to Hooverphonic after discovering other groups were already using the Hoover name and to avoid any legal issues with the vacuum cleaner company.

Conoscevo già gli hooverphonic da tanti anni per i pochi pezzi che sono riusciti ad arrivare anche sulle radio locali come anger never dies ma non avevo mai approfondito. Ecco perché questo greatest hits, in triplo vinile a soli 20€ ha attirato la mia curiosità e non potrei essere più felice che l'abbia fatto. Strumenti classici, moderni e qualche base elettronica si fondono assieme per arrangiamenti di gusto con le varie vocalist che si sono susseguite negli anni a fare da protagoniste, specie nelle tre traccie orchestrate. Il diverso arrangiamento di out of sight rispetto la versione radio è stato poi la ciliegina sulla torta. Davvero una bella raccolta, consigliata!Ah, una curiosità. Il mio prodotto è arrivato in perfetto stato ma sul primo vinile la Sony ha commesso un errore di stampa. I lati sono etichettati correttamente ma la lista delle tracce è invertita.
