honestly i do prefer the other brand, which i cant think of right now, as having a less "greasy" hold...but it was unavailable when i needed to order more, so this was the one i got. it works fine, has good hold without making your hair think its gone back to the 80's and its aquanet. i just like the other one a little better for not keeping a "wet" look for so long. if that is your goal, then this would be a better choice. either way, they both hold the hair in place for those "smolder" looks. blue steel, el tigre, and of course...MAGNUM!
