A good lock.

I have lots of trailers and have used all different kinds of locks over the years from homemade to all kind of fancy ones. This is not my favorite. It is tough and it is double protected. It is geared on both sides of the slide in shafts whereas all the rest only have gears on one side. The benefit of having it on 2 sides is it would require someone to have to cut both sides off of it to get it off. This thing will not cut with a hack saw or sawzall the only way you can get through it will take a grinder and those are loud and throw a ton of sparks that you can see a mile away. For the Price you can't find a better trailer lock on the market.

I'm a fan of Trimax products. I've had this lock for eight years and it gives me some added peace of mind knowing that it would be a bit more difficult for someone to come up and tow away my RV or dump trailer. In addition to this lock, I also have an axle/wheel lock. However, I was on a camping trip in the RV in the snow. The lock froze and my attempts to unthaw were not working with our checkout time closing in quickly. My metal key turned out to be plastic and broke. The metal nib for the circle key also broke off. (Trimax....keys should be all metal.) Fortunately I had a reciprocal saw with a carbide blade and began cutting. I was surprised that in about one minute, I cut through one side of the metal 'arc.' I was expecting to have to cut the other side but found I could swing the 'arc' and drop the lock off all together. Again, its still a deterrent but I was surprised at how fast I was able to remove it and wanted to pass it along. I still like this lock for what it is but I'll be looking at a different design for the replacement (with a metal key too).

Excellent! 100% Recommend!!! Great fit, super secure, easy to take on & off. Being in Fl, I think this lock holds up well in rainy weather. Nothing is fool proof but this is some heavy duty security without breaking the bank. Speaking from experience, some of the pricey competition is not as secure as this one.

This lock is much stronger than what I previously had. I like that it locks on both sides of the u-shaped bar, meaning that a their would have to cut through the left and right side both before this would fail.

Simple to use. Hopefully it will deter a potential thief, but if they really want it.... There are other travel trailers in the storage unit without locks, so easy pickin's.

Hardened steel shafts wouldn't be easy to cut, and a thief would need to cut both shafts to remove the device from the hitch. Insurance company approved which is the important thing to consider, cheap units generally are not approved by insurers as a legitimate tow hitch security device. Be mindful when buying a hitch lock that there is little point of skimping on a cheap hitch lock to secure a significantly priced asset! I do not see the point!

Easy to put on and feels heavy duty, would take a lot to saw through and to big for bolt cutters!

This is the 2nd one we bought for our trailers and they work perfect ...very effective, strong and durable...will recommend this product to protect your trailer from theft ..

Great quality and a solid design. I bought this due to videos I've seen on competitor brands that can be broken within seconds. This is a more solid design and the crown key design makes it significantly harder to pick the lock.

Super cadenas dans la bonne moyenne de robustesse. Il y en a surement des meilleurs, qui sont plus chers, mais il y en a aussi plusieurs qui sont beaucoup moins robustes. La clé est nécessaire pour verrouiller la barrure, ce qui est une sécurité supplémentaire. Le fait que le boîtier de finition soit en plastique n’a rien à voir avec la robustesse du cadenas; tout l’intérieur du mécanisme est en acier selon ce qu’on peut voir sur les photographies du manufacturier.
