They Work Great for Our Chicken Houses
We have Black Austrolorpes that we raised from biddies. They are some of the best egg producers that we have. Out of 9, we consistently get an average of 7-8 eggs daily. But they are terrified of the dark. I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that they were raised to bantam size inside in (2) 2×4×24 galvanized troughs. We had to keep them inside a few extra weeks because of significantly lower temps than we normally have. We have been using 15w Night Lights with Photoelectric cells, but they require 110v power and really don't put out much light, so they all crowd around it. Was browsing Amazon and came across these solar bulbs with built in batteries and remotes for each bulb. The panels are small, but large enough to power the batteries so that we can set the remote for 4 hours. The sun sets around 8:35 right now...I mean turns dark. The light being on with each bulb for 4 hours sequentially, gives them light until just before Sun up. By then, most of the creatures that go bump in the night (we live on a lake in the middle of the woods). These, so far, are working great for our needs. Of you need an LED bulb that is solar powered for light duty, this pair - it comes with 2 of everything - has us satisfied and I highly recommend these twin solar/battery powered LED bulbs. 5 Stars

Don't overcharge battery.
The lights are great, but the instructions did NOT say to avoid leaving the panel plugged in fir long periods if the light will not be used. I overcharged one of them and it no longer works. My mistake. But I still recommend this product. It works great when used mindfully.

Great idea, bad execution
For the first week, these were great. And then one of the sets’ wires completely detached from the solar panel, rendering it unusable, so do not count on durability. The second one doesn’t work at all. Super bummed because I wanted to use these in my chicken coop and liked the timer options. Wasted money and no auto dimming light for the chickens.

Nice item, solar fuction makes hard to charge
On brightest setting only runs 3-4 hrs. Item isn't super bright but for my needs it was fine. It emits white light which I prefer over the more orange glow type. I was never able to get the bulb to charge full using just the solar panel. Even in almost direct light, my guess is it take 3-5 days like other solar items which for me isn't practical. I charged these using my own mini usb cable plugged into wall amd they charged fine, no indicator as to when it was full, I'm assuming 5-6 hrs. The remote feature is very cool, I used this bulb to light my tv at night and its nice to be able to shut off/set timer with remote rather than get up when I'm in bed and tired. I still don't know how you control both lights with 1 remote. I think you can only do 1 in that case. Item IMO isn't worth $25 unless you have a light you don't need to light often and an area where light is needed more than 3 hrs a day and also are able to hang the solar charger in direct sun for 3-5 days between using light 3 hrs. I paid $9 for out of box model and it was a steal at that price. The remote is very tiny and can easily get lost plus takes weird flat batt so factor that in when buying. I contacted the company for a refund and they haggled me a bit but then finally refunded me. I think they wouldn't have full refunded if I paid the $25 over the $9. Anyhow my suggestion is unless you plan to have solar charger in direct sun and don't need to use the light often that you get the regular charge ones which run only about $6-8 each. The solar is a good idea but not 100% practical. Remote is best feature on this item. Thank you for reading.

Use remote to turn on out of the box
I had some trouble getting them to work straight out of the box. After charging them and still not getting them to turn on I asked for a replacement which was sent immediately no questions asked. After my husband looked at them a few weeks later he was able to get them both to turn on using the remote. They both work great now. I’m able to turn them on and off using the button on top or with the remote control. They’re bright and hold a charge for about 4-6 hours before dimming. Of course I feel foolish for not trying the remote option but there were no instructions pointing this out so oops! I sent an email to the seller apologizing for my error and paid for the replacement set. Now I have 2 extra lights and I couldn’t be happier. Definitely ordering more! Highly recommend!
