Compact, elegant, ingenious
The media could not be loaded. I really like these nail clippers, they are super compact, have an elegant design and work great. It stays locked closed by a sliding mechanism that may not be obvious at first, it's fun seeing if people can figure it out. Also, to make them clip effectively you have to slide one of the arms to the forward position (the same arm that keeps it locked when closed). It is pretty easy to figure out but if you are having trouble, check out my little video. I highly recommend these, makes a great gift!

Bait and switch, but that was ok.
They advertise one that looks just like the J.A. Henckels set that I was replacing. The originals were not in stock and I thought for $8, maybe they would work. What I received definitely didn't have the finish of the JAH, however they are quite slim and very sharp. No free leather sheath, but they will fit in the JAH sleeve just fine.

Poor quality
I bought this hoping for a more inexpensive version of my favorite Zwilling J.A. Henckels clippers since the picture looked the same minus the emblem. The overall size and shape were very similar, as was the method of opening for use. The design of the hinge was different and far worse. It also moves/wobbles quite a bit in comparison and the edges aren't as good. I'm a big fan of the fold-flat style, but these just aren't worth the money.

Love these so much I bought two.
I bought one for my EDC kit and keep one in my hygiene drawer. I actually prefer these to normal clippers. Mostly because the clippings tend to stay trapped inside until you shake the clippers to knock the clipping out. And they are super compact and easy to open and use. Surprisingly, the quality was very good. No slop, and all lines/seams fit clean.

Cheaply made
Not as good as others I have had. Poor machining and weak and flexible.

cool design...materials are just so-so
this nail clipper is cool. but the blades got dull kinda quick! sharp blades give you a satisfying "snap" sounds when the nails are cut. but this one has more of a dull mashing sound. i'll keep it around tho. maybe throw it in my travel suitcase.oh also, the edges of this thing are sharp. i may go at it with my dremel just so that it's more comfortable to hold. also, wish i had a hole for a key ring or something like that.

Hard to use with non dominant hand
Works well, I put it inside the lining of my wallet so i always have it on me. You have to lift the mechanism up over a little lip for it to be effective which is hard to keep there when using your non dominant hand. Good if you want something easy to always have on you though. If you have a purse I'd recommend a regular pair of clippers though

you will grow to love them. I had the other type of folding ...
At first I thought these were the same as the J A Henckels ultra slim, and even though they are the same principal, they are not identical. I've only used them a couple of times, but they do work very well. You can cut right into the nail or just trim a sliver off the edge. They take very little pressure. As others have mentioned, this type of nail clipper has a small learning curve, but if you are patient and go slow at first, you will grow to love them. I had the other type of folding clippers for about 10 years (until I lost them) The kind people complain about because the top lever with the nail file flops around. I loved those too. I'm going to be buying a pair of the J A Henckels in about a month, just want to compare them. If you think you can part ways with the drug store clippers, give these a try, you can't go wrong for the price. ej
