Continuing to shapeshift and unravel, while using unorthodox songwriting techniques that border on the incomprehensible, avant-garde extreme metal quartet PYRRHON return with What Passes For Survival on August 25, 2017. Dense, volatile, and drenched in manic ferocity, What Passes For Survival is an aural challenge that refuses to adhere to genre conventions, merging strategic orchestrated bursts of death metal chaos with expanses of unhinged improvisation.

Not for me.
This album was recommended to me by a friend. I bought it before a show.It wasn't the kind of death metal I am into. It wasn't bad, I just did not like it.

Incredible.
Given full and devoted attention and this can be appreciated. Seriously Pyrrhon is a band worth exploring ...

Modern extreme metal at its best
The metal album of the year. Be patient and give it many listens. This is what I've been waiting for from the extreme music world.
