The designer Giuliano Mazzuoli finds inspiration in what he creates in everyday objects that end up capturing the attention of anyone that stops to observe them. Giuliano Mazzuoli got the Stifflexible idea after finding an ancient book in a Florentine library from the 1700s with a similarly designed system. Stifflexible replicates the binding system of that book from the 1700s. The book has an elastic band: perfect to flip through the pages. Completely made in Italy, Stifflexible is realized near Florence, in the hearth of the Chianti region, using high quality raw materials and FSC certification (Forest Stewardship Council), so that the entire production maintains unaltered the standards of eco-sustainability and respect for the environment on which the company as always based its policies. History The origins of the company date back to 1953, the year in which Angelo Mazzuoli, Giuliano's father, started the Mazzuoli typography and produced notepads and address books for the Florentine leather industry. In the 1970s Giuliano shifts the attention of the company's production towards the world of graphics and printing, collaborating with important brands from fashion, interior design, and industrial design. These experiences arouse in Giuliano the wish to launch his own brand and in 1993 he creates the "3.6.5 Planner", a planner with a "turn-page" system that has a lot of space for notes. In 1997 the brand Stifflexible is created.
