Well plotted
A well plotted thriller with just a little love story adding to the tension and emotion of the perilous situations. My only negative comment is that some of the dialogue was a little stiff. I know the author was depicting non-English speaking characters in many scenes but some of that seemed to me to creep into other voices. But this in no way diminished the overall effectiveness of the story.Have fun with this one.

Not my favorite Ludlum; not my favorite narrator
Not my favorite Ludlum, but okay. Parts were interesting and exciting, but the ending was flat. Part of my problem was the narration. I switch from Kindle to Audible. Am not wild about Michael Prichard's narration, and especially so with this book. Often confused by who was saying what - everyone sounded pretty much the same. Ended up reading as much as possible to avoid the narration.

A great Nazi book of fiction.
Robert Ludlum has done it again. I consider a great spy/mystery novel. The story is about Germans trying to continue what was started by the Nazi, by starting the fourth Reich and the people trying to stop them. The characters are well developed there for are believable. That's what makes this book so enjoyable trying to figure out what is going to happen next.

If you like complicated stories, this one's for you
Although I enjoyed this story, it was a bit complicated for my taste and one of my very pet peeves occurred, which is no one figuring out one of the main things that happened. I don't like stories that leave things unresolved. The story itself was a bit far fetched, but I don't mind that. I mean, the point of stories is to be imaginative. All in all though, a good read.

Apocalypse Watch review
As always Mr. Ludlum seem to capture the soul of the main character of his books. From page one to the end the story just flows with the greatest of ease. The way he interweawes the story and gives each person involved in it so much life is incredibly brilliant.I enjoyed this book immensely, I would recommend it to any person that likes action and suspense.

The treachery among governments today could easily lead to a very similar scenario
I've been a Ludlum fan for decades. He never disappoints and this book is no exception. The treachery among governments today could easily lead to a very similar scenario, as far as people joining extreme groups (oh hey, that's already happening!). Loved the twist at the end. He always educates as well as entertains, a great combination. Highly recommend.....

Neo-nazis attempt to take over the world.
I'm glad I read this book. Even though it was first published in 1995 it is a very appropriate readfor today. It is about the rise of neo- nazis all over the world. It's eye opening. I especiallyliked his wrap up at the end.

A little disappointing
I didn't like the book, mainly for the plot, which was scarcely believable, in parts. But parts that are too critical to allow for a suspension of disbelief. The writing, direct speech, seemed incongruously emotional. Not the type of language I'd expect from quiet professionals.

Not Only But Also?
There's nothing to indicate it but I got a strong feeling this book was either co-authored or heavily edited by someone else. The first half is unmistakeable Ludlum - his quirky style of writing though revisiting both themes and locations from other books. But from about chapter 26 it grows more bland. It could be a Ludlam without his heart really into it or perhaps not.So what to say about the story without giving it away? The themes are compelling and not so off the wall as to be unbelievable. There are the usual surprises and twists, the adrenaline moments of action and the heroic insights that keep the good guys moving forwards to save the world. Ludlum has always been absorbing, compelling, without endless high speed chases and hordes of the ungodly galloping over the skyline. (something those who watch the Bourne movies may find difficult to realise) So it is with this one, even though the lead character is far too impatient and impetuous ever to have actually been employed in a capacity of field agent. There are the regulation revelations, the hidden traitors unmasked and the false trails discarded leading slowly and inevitably to the grand finale and the final twist which is very unlikely to be the one you expect.Criticisms? The book lacks verve and passion. It may be an older, more tired Ludlum but it verges on the description of pot-boiler. It has the feeling of something he may have started and put aside to pursue other avenues, to be finished by himself or someone else as an obligation. Certainly readable. Certainly worth buying. But not re-readable in the way many of his earlier books were. An intriguing story that wends its way to completion before expiring. The ending neat but not climactic, loose ends neatly tied into bows and a sense of accomplishment rather than regret that it is finished. Buy it anyway, Ludlum at his blandest is still better than 8 out of ten other authors. But don't expect another Chancellor Manuscript or Matarese Circle.

Even good authors have their off days
I enjoy Rober Ludlum books but not this one.It just goes to show that even with Neo Nazis, Mad German Doctors, corruption, love interest and a plot to wipe out large parts of the population, all you end up with is a dog.Having taken this on holiday I didn't give it case room on the way back.

Great Book
Definitely one of Ludlum 's best books. On par if not better than his Bourne books. Can't understand why more of his books weren't made into films ,the cons.opps books are better than Bourne .
