Both the rectangular and parabolic mirrors are glass. They're very clear. The backlighting feature is very easy to operate, you just have to tap the power button to turn it on/off, or hold it down to set the brightness (Capacitive Touch). It does remember your previously set brightness, so there's minimal fussing with it. I put in 4x rechargeable AA batteries, which is much more convenient than using the provided USB cable. LEDs don't use that much power, and batteries last a very long time. Much more convenient than other models that use a fluorescent circline tube, which must be wired and get very hot.The temperature of the LED backlight is daylight (5000k), which is ideal for color analysis. If your home lighting is 2700-3500k, you will notice that everything is much too yellow. The LEDs are bright enough that they will overpower ambient lighting up to about 1 foot, so you can get the proper color temperature. It works in the dark as well, and provides plenty of light even on the medium to low settings.I bought it as a gift for my mother, who often uses smaller mirrors. While the mirror isn't that big, its larger than a traditional hand mirror, and can easily be held in one hand, which is good utility. The smaller parabolic mirror works fairly well, but you need to be about 12-18 inches for it to focus well.

This mirror set is perfect it comes with a small magnetic round mirror that is 10x closer so when you are using your tweezers and need to see those fine hairs on your eyebrows and chin you can get them without having to go cross eyed and pinching your skin instead of grabbing the hair you were trying to get lol. I myself love to make sure that I have an even layer of all my make up and perfect brows so this is definitely the mirror to get

I like it. I wish the light was brighter and I wish it was taller... Sometimes it oddly casts a shadow on my face and I'm not sure how to explain that. However, I like it. It does it's job and that's all I need.

A very nifty mirror! I gave it four out of five stars because the level of lighting doesn't create that much of a difference from dim to bright as far as evening to day makeup application. Though, it does get very bright! Also, the little detachable mirror takes up more room than I would like on the already fairly limited mirror area. I just leave it to the side unless I'm doing my eyebrows. I bought some as Christmas presents and I'm using the one I bought for myself. A handy little thing to keep on the vanity. It's definitely a very decent product, lighting is great, and the power options are great too. I would recommend this mirror!

I initially received mirror that didn't light up. I was contacted by the seller who offered to replace it for one that worked. The new one took about 4 days to arrive but it works wonderful

Love this! If you still hesitate to consider about the size or quality of his product. You don't to worry about it. It has perfect size to put on a desk. What's more the lights are bright. It looks nice and let you enjoy soft lights. If you prefer not to deal with batteries it comes with a white USB cord that you can plug into a wall charger. Awesome product!
