Light and Laser Therapy: Clinical Procedures 6th Edition

There is no better book or even anything that comes close to this book. I am not a chiropractor or physical therapist but a regular home user but I wanted to understand at a deeper level what is what and how much is needed. This chiropractor author (Dr Turchin) lays it out in a super easy to understand / follow format that answers all your questions. Lists detailed protocols for every condition possible. Great index. Loved the new chapter about new usage for the brain and neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson'sSo it was a bit expensive for me just as a novice user but certainly worth it.

This book is extremely informative for anyone interested in light and laser therapy. It is easy to understand, laid out well, and full of useful information and protocols.Having a movement background and being fascinated with how the body works and heals, i was drawn to light therapy. I now own 5 units and use them regularly on myself and family members, with great results. I would not call myself an expert by any means, but this book makes it understandable without oversimplifying anything. It helps to get you familiar with the laser, it's operations, and lays out protocols that are easy to understand and implement. It has given me many additional tools in utilizing the light therapy most effectively.In my communications with the author, Curtis, he was more than willing to share his findings and answer all the questions I had (which was many). As someone who is constantly expanding my knowledge on the subject, that was invaluable to me. Overall i am highly impressed.

Very good for overall review.But should one run the LL laser at 660 nm for what time? ____vs at 830nm at what times_______ for which conditions ? The combinations of these two settings are very dominant among LL lasers and the balances are said by others in the field to be important.Entirely missing here.Total Joules , never mind how we get them is the emphasis. This is an important gap.

His explanations, charts, listing of Ailments, and application recommendations make it easy to calculate Treatment Time based on any given system. Excellent reference book.

I love this book, it is super important because I work in skincare and this book help me with my sales because the light is so powerful and I can back it up with this clinical facts which is amazing

Excellent! By far the best, most useful and practical book on using lasers that I've purchased to date. I will refer to this one in my office daily. I have multiple types of lasers and this book clearly gives you the times / joules to use on each different body part with according to the various power of my individual laser. I would say, "Just get this one book and you're done!"

I’ve been working with an Avant laser for about the laser for the last seven years. There is an incredible lack of educational material in terms of the process, clinically or from an alternative healing perspective regarding laser treatment. I was excited to get this book, but I’m afraid that while the author is well-intentioned, there is not much here that I think any seasoned practitioner could use. Most of this is painfully obvious.

This by far a better book than I expected, it not only contains the science behind laser but goes on into protocols with the appropriate doses.Now days there are many people writing books but very few good writers that can explain complicated topics in a simple matter, this is definetly a well written book.I highly recommend people to buy it.Federico AcuñaNovato CA
