Flavor-Doh for Cats - Fish Flavor - 7 oz

This worked for a while but unfortunately the cats could tell there was something awesome in here and they pretty quickly put a million tooth holes in the lid and tub both! So it started to dry out. That's probably why it got less appealing. We then tried a different brand that's a bit similar but the cats love the taste and it works well. the other kind is very sticky which is a downside, but we get around it by crushing some treats and rolling the covered-pill treats in the crumbs. the tub of the other brand seems more robust, too. So far the cats haven't seemed to notice it.If we use this product again we'll keep it locked up so the cats can't destroy it.

I had purchased vetoquinol pill wrap which worked like a charm on his hyperthyroid meds until I ruined it when I fed him some of a gabapentin in it. He won't touch it now because he thinks it will make him loopy. I tried this instead. He is impossible to pill, hates his meds, won't eat the pill in cheese, meat, his food...he's difficult. But this stuff-it's really good. It's dry-far less sticky than the vetoquinol- and he ate his pill right up. I would definitely give this a try if you have a 4-legged hard case at home.

I have tried just about everything for getting medicine into my clever cat. He will eat pill pockets and leave the pill, if I hide it in food he eats around it, if I stuff it in his mouth he spits it out behind the sofa. This is the FIRST thing to work getting meds in him without him knowing. I stick the powder in a tiny dough ball and then wrap it in another layer of dough to hide the taste. He won't eat the chicken flavor, loves thE fish. My other cat likes the chicken and fish flavor. My third cat does not seem to recognize this as a food item. So it is worth a shot! 2 out of 3 cats approve!

Unfortunately my cat was not interested in Flavor-Doh. My cat has to take 5 different medications both day and night for a heart condition, and I've tried just about every brand of treat to hide his pills. None have worked successfully in the long run--which caused a great deal of stress for both my cat and his humans--BUT thankfully we found a miracle food: rotisserie chicken. He is obsessed with rotisserie chicken, which costs about $5 at the grocery store and lasts all week. We craft our own "pill pockets" with the soft meat or skin, and he gobbles them down with ease. This discovery has made pill time a breeze and has changed our lives!

This is my 2nd order of this flavor - my cat loves this - thyroid pill 2 times daily is so much easier - helps to call it a treat - suggest using only enough to surround pill - I also have dry organic treat that I stick the doh pill combo to for further encouragement. - It's been over a year now, switching between this and the chicken flavor - consistency of the fish doh is better than the chicken as the doh is sticker and stays in a ball. This doh is cleaner as to ingredients than another brand I tried at same time.

The dough is very crumbly and dry. It's hard to scoop out of the container and mold around a pill. Once I pop the pill into my cat, he can use his tongue to remove the dough from the pill, swallow the dough, and spit out the pill.

I have ordered this product in the past. I have a difficult cat that needs medication and this is the only way I can accomplish the task. This batch was gummy and smelled different. Cat would not go near. Called manufacturer and they explained there was a problem with latest batch. There is no replacement at this time. My cat is now going without needed meds as I ran out of product. I have been assured that they are working on problem. When problem is fixed this is an amazing product.

My sweet little girl came down with hyperthyroidism and now will be on pills the rest of her life. I tried several methods, including the "pill pockets" without any luck (she did not want anything to do with the pill pockets), pill giving was becoming such a stressfull event I was dreading the twice a day activity, at least until I found this product. TG is all I can say!! I wrap the pill in this stuff and she eats it without hesitation - thanks to the Flavor-Doh!!
