Has anyone taken this on a plane as a carry-on? Fit in a standard airline overhead compartment easily? (been flagged in the past for too LG carryon)

I’ve taken this bag on domestic and international trips. It fits in all overhead compartments easily as well as under the seat in front of you as long as it’s not packed to the max.

Is this bag waterproof?

The bag is water resistant. It should repel rain for a little while, but at a certain point it will saturate and get wet inside. But you could put a waterproof rain cover over it to fully protect from rain.

Does the pack have any reflective strips or material?

Yes it does. The brand logo on top and the daylite plus words are reflective although not obvious because they're very thin font.

Does this version have a back panel pocket for the hydration bladder?

Not specifically. There is a slim pocket to put a lap top, so if you weren't using it for that purpose, you might be able to use that to fit a hydration bladder.
