As a homeowner, I have frequently hammered in nails on molding and wood. I had resorted to the old makeshift means by using another nail with a large head for years. This was a splurge for me that I needed when someone broke off the bottom of the door molding the day they arrived. I used these to replace a small bent brad, appreciating the choice in sizes to match the nails I had to use. For once, my fingers got a break, relying upon the grip to hold up to the hammer while setting the brad and re-nailing (not gluing) the molding as the previous owner had done. I look forward to using these in the future.

The punches are three sizes and I believe they're steel. I am using them to hammer in small nails into the ties for model railroad tracks. They do the job well. They don't really come in any kind of reusable case. The first set I bought I got the plastic packaging but not the actual punches. At some point the punches had disappeared. I'd give them a higher review if they did come with some sort of pouch that would stay closed keeping them together.

They are not flat black. They are silver with bright colored plastic. The importance of this is very evident if you have ever worked in real bad lighting situations.They work as you would expect but with a much lower chance on being lost on the job

Like color code for point size. Only have used one of the nail sets so far. Worked as expected. Happy with purchase.
