Flipstick Foldaway Short, USA Bundle

This seat cane was my BABY for the longest time. It was quite the learning curve to use as it's pretty top heavy, but it worked wonderfully. Was my favorite cane for years.I used this for a good 2 years of heavy, near-everyday use including hikes before the elastic in the folding part was worn to the point that folding was pretty tough.If you have a faster stride or sensitive hand skin, I don't suggest it alone. The plastic handle can leave some blistering at too high speeds. If you walk at a moderate to slow pace, this doesn't occur and feels comfortable. If you use fingerless gloves, or bike gloves, this seems to eliminate that possibility entirely.I have a new mobility aid now, but this cane served me well and was my first seat cane. I'd suggest it for someone with no balance issues, or slight balance problems as it takes some balance to learn to sit on this seat type.The only reason I switched to another cane type is due to the fact that my condition is progressive and required a cane that could give me additional support. Would use again if I could.

The best purchase I’ve made recently. I am 71 years old with a bad back and weak knees. I was heading to Disney and was worried about standing in line for a long time and also concerned about all of the walking. The Flipstick made my trip a breeze. I felt sorry for the others standing in line when I flipped my cane into a seat. I bought the short version and it was the perfect height for my 5ft 2 inch frame. The Flipstick is foldable, light and very sturdy. Also, it was extremely easy to pack and take on the plane. I highly recommend this product.

I love this cane. Standing for any length of time is very difficult for me as I have a herniated disc. I am 5'3" and purchased the short cane. It is a perfect height for use in the kitchen while tending to the stove and doing dishes. I carry it with me any place I know I will be standing. The carry case is convenient also. I wish this came in other colors. The only reason for a 4 star is I feel it is a bit overpriced, but for the convenience of having a cane and seat all in one, it's priceless. You do need to have balance in order to use. I would not hesitate to recommend.

Bought this for a month-long trip to Europe which is coming up, but have been using it daily as a cane already. Excellent customer service from the company. Some people think it looks scary as a seat, but it's steadier than you'd imagine. After all, it's similar to what English gentry used while hunting to wait for the birds/game to appear, i.e. a "shooting stick." Expect to use it while waiting in queues, resting on long walks, and even just resting while some museum tour guide present a post-graduate thesis on an exhibit.Not sure yet about steps, but I find it helpful as a cane for curbs, etc. The shape and size of the handle/seat provides a steady grip. The foldaway feature is a definite plus.

I had a ruptured "Baker's Cyst" which left me unable to walk for months and as I recuperated I needed help to walk for about 4 months but since I've recovered; I've found it useful when I take hikes because when I need to rest I simple push the button to give myself a quick chair for a few moments. The carrying bag is big enough to put my car keys and cell phone in it while I'm on the trails. It's lightweight makes it a must when I'm out and being one with nature!

Very useful, acts as a convenient seat when you need it. Packs away small to carry in my purse. I'm 5'3" and I could use this comfortably for standing in lines at a convention. It is more comfortable if you angle it out slightly bellow out to push back to support you rather than trying to sit on right on top of it. Did not come with the carrying strap it said it should have came with. Makes it difficult to keep in a regular bag without it as it is what holds the folding parts in place. The metal tubes just are loose and clang around without it.

I used this on a long trip to Europe , added the rubber tri-tip and it was very very useful with all the stairs and rough surface walking. People were constantly checking it out and asking about it. I only used the leaning feature a few times but it worked too just a little too much balancing act when.I was tired and surfaces untrustworthy . I don't normally use a cane at all, so I took hiking sticks also but this is what I ended up using consistently.

This was ordered for my husband to use on a 2 week trip. It was compact, easy to pack and carry in its small bag which was provided. He had to shorten it, and called the maker for instructions. The representative was very helpful.It was a great aid for someone who needed to rest his feet and back during excursions.
