VASCHY Lightweight Backpack for School, Classic Basic Water Resistant Casual Daypack for Travel with Bottle Side Pockets (Black)

This backpack is pretty awesome! It's seems to be very well made with thick fabric, lots of pockets and storage, and a fun pattern. I got this for my 7 yr old and it might last her until college! I ordered a Jansport at the same time as this one which was twice the price of this backpack and I would say this one is better quality and value than the Jansport. It has 2 separate pockets inside, one outside, and 2 water bottle pouches on the sides. The pouches don't fit big water bottles but they work great for my kid's water bottle. 10/10 would recommend

Got this backpack for my brother, and he loved it. Durable and has just enough space to carry all your materials for school.

My child selected this for use for school. Since it was not too expensive, I wondered about the quality and the durability, especially since he’s rough with his stuff. We’re now into 2.5 months of daily Mon - Fri use and the backpack still looks like new. It’s a good size with lots of space, straps are nicely padded, zipper and zipper pulls are sturdy, color/design print in person is vibrant and material is thick, I love the inner compartment in the big backpack section (he uses it to easily find his take home folder, but it would be perfect for a laptop/tablet if he were older). I’ve bought backpacks that were way more costly but less quality than this. Very happy with this brand so far and will probably get him another version/print of this style of backpack in this brand for many school years to come!

UPDATE: After my rather displeasing review, Vaschy customer service reached out to me a was very kind and helpful to resolve my issues! Didn’t want to give the full five stars since the backpack is still not what I had hoped and looked around for, but just because of their awesome customer service, I’m at least putting it to a 4-star review. They allowed a refund while I could still keep my backpack (since I greatly needed a new backpack for at least the semester), which was very considerate and kind of them! One of the better customer services I’ve run into with a company/brand, which makes the backpack more okay to hold onto this semester, even if it’s not what I expected and hoped for! Got it because it was cheap and needed a backpack quickly. Out of reviews and images shown on all sorts of backpacks on Amazon, I chose this one. Even though I knew it would be small upon purchasing (and I even looked in the old backpack I had and what it was currently holding which didn’t seem like a lot), this backpack truly is small like reviewers say. My stuff, which is a laptop and charger, five folders, two novels, and a planner are a very tight fit in the main part of the bag. The front pocket is a good size but doesn’t have an inner pouch that it should have but is missing (which is a bummer that I didn’t realize it would not have). Overall, it’s stylish and thick material that should hold up, but poorly designed with very little space (not to mention the small pockets on each side that can only fit small/thin bottles and tumblers...barely). Will invest more money into a different and better backpack after this semester is over. Not good for school unless you literally only carry a laptop and notebook, but could have potential for a bag for a day trip in a city or on a hike, as long as you don’t carry much.

I’ve actually been impressed by this backpack. It was perfect for my preschooler, and held up very well in spite of being thrown around and drug on the ground as most backpacks are. The zippers, seams and straps have all held up. Overall a perfect backpack!

My 14 year old daughter wanted a backpack that fit her current high school style. As a parent, I wanted her to choose one that was durable enough to last more than a few months and could fit a couple of her binders and a textbook in it. This one fit the bill for value, style and function. I was reluctant initially; pushing for a more established name brand (but would have had a bigger price tag) but my daughter liked this one for its simplicty and she was glad to use the difference in cash for something else. After about 5 weeks of using it for school, she noticed the stitching coming off on the outer pocket and asked me if I could fix it. It wasn't a huge issue since the rest of the bag was still perfect. I wasn't too suprised given the lower price compared to what I have paid for bigger name bags in the past. But, still I contacted the company and they sent out a new one really quickly and checked up to ensure we were happy. We liked that they had some nice colour options; my daughter liked the subtle colour for her style. She also liked that the size wasn't so bulky that it looks goofy for school. Saying that, if you really need a big backpack for lots of books it might not be your best bet. For the average user needing to tote some books or similar gear, this bag is a good buy.
