Dead Island 2: Day 1 Edition - PlayStation 4

I’m a diehard fan of the entire Dead Island franchise. I had been playing riptide for YEARS. When I heard number 2 dropped, bought it immediately! My original copy ended up getting damaged so I jumped on here and bought another copy and for HALF the price I paid originally! Package arrived quickly and undamaged. Now if I could just get Amazon to give us a competent delivery driver in my area I’d be in good shape. The guy delivered my package down the street at my neighbors house. And my house number is CLEARLY visible from my front porch! No excuses! Can him and hire someone more professional who actually takes pride in their job.

Let’s be honest, nobody on this game’s development team was shooting for game of the year. Dead Island has always been a really fun franchise of zombie game though, and this one is no different. Tons of fun to be had if you don’t take it too seriously.

I have been a huge fan of the original first two titles from PS3 and PS4. Dead Island 2 is fun and challenging with multiplayer support. But it is way too short, even after completing all of the side missions. A DLC should be on the way this year, hopefully.

The only problem I had was I preordered the game and it came in five days after release date. The game Is good. I'm hoping for a sequel, but I'm also hoping it's not going to take another nine years. If you're a fan of zombie films, games, ETC., this is a definite buy. Don't expect the "Dying Light" freedom. It is a big game, but broken up with loading screens. The gore is great, story's good, and the side quests are repetitive but fun.

Possible spoiler. If you liked the first Dead island, then this is just what you’ve been waiting for. I loved the first game and over the years played it several times. I’ve been playing nonstop for about 2 weeks and still going strong. I haven’t run into any glitches except figuring out how to use the med kits (hold down button not up). Some fun new freaks to chop up!!! Some kewl effects while you’re doing it!! Highly recommend. I changed my 5 star review to 3.5 after completing the game. It’s way too short for a $69 game. Very few side missions and limited exploration. There wasn’t much of a main story as far as plot is concerned either. They introduced some cool characters only for them to have little purpose other than to lead to a dead island 3 or a dlc. I’d pay $39 for this game and feel my money was spent well. This feels a bit lacking for the price.

Amazing graphics, fun, not too easy. Get to play co-op with friends. It's really fun, and normally I don't go for these types of games.
