Unfortunately, this is not a good product. The screw holes are not aligned so as to prevent any kind of straight or plumb surface. The dowels do not fit (I ended up not using them). Unless this is a stand that will be hidden away by other items, don't buy this if you are looking for a fashionable piece on your desk. It is cheap enough that I won't return it and will use it for its functional purpose, but regardless of price I do expect a product to meet some kind of minimum quality standards. Sadly, this is an inferior product. Also of note, I rarely leave negative reviews except where it's clear that the manufacturer did not use any kind of quality control as part of the production process. I was compelled to leave a note for other buyers because of this blatant mediocrity.

This gets one star for not being what it said it was. The title specifically states "solid wood" and it is particle board covered in plastic wood look laminate. It's quite hideous actually, and I can't bear to have it on my desk so it's going back. I didn't even assemble it. If you're looking for "solid wood" keep looking.

This is exactly as advertised. The quality is reasonable for what we're using it for (organizing papers). The construction is questionable - I would hesitate to put a computer monitor on it.
