Does NOT fit correctly
Prior to ordering these clamps I measured my barbell and dumbbells using a highly accurate caliper. My measurement was Ø1.1" (Ø27.94 mm)). When this product arrived I attempted to attach them to my barbell. With the clamp completely closed I could very easily pull it off the barbell. I remeasured my barbell and found the same result, Ø1.1".

I bought these for a new 28.5mm CAP barbell that I purchased as a standard Olympic 2" sleeved bar, but stripped the bar completely and modified it for use as a 28.5mm bare bar shaft since I have over 600lbs of 1" standard plates and a need for a stronger barbell. Odd situation, I admit, but no sense in getting rid of over 600lbs of plates just to buy replacement plates in 2" Olympic size, plus a 7' bar was too wide for my weight lifting area. I first thought these quick clamps weren't going to fit, due to the fact they are plastic and it seemed like I would break them trying to force the clamp closed. Once I snapped them both closed one initial time, they felt much easier to install and I gained confidence that they actually fit correctly and would work as intended. I'll probably buy a second pair just to keep around for backup, even though quality seems to be top notch. My bar measures between 28.51 and 28.55mm with a dial caliper, FYI.Just a little side note for those looking to upgrade their barbell for 1" plates as I did, you can find cheaper pancake plates and such (like CAP brand) that are 1", but the center hole is machined larger than normal so they will fit directly onto a 28.5mm bar with no modifications.
