Good sights for a reasonable price.
Bought a front and rear for a โpoverty pony buildโ. They work great and I got both for a fraction of the cost of some other brands. For the time being, these are my only sights on the rifle. At some point they will be my back up irons, but until then they are working just fine. They fit on my pic rail just fine. They are easy to adjust. They are metal. They have push button deployment and they lock in the up position. Yes, there are better options out there, but these are a very good value and are definitely serviceable sights.

Nice sight but it will pop up under FRT fire
Good sight, just keep in mind it will pop up under FRT fire or I'd assume fully auto fire too. Not a huge deal unless you're using it as a backup sight and it bothers you obscuring your view. I would say it moderately annoys me enough that I'll replace it with something else eventually.

Almost perfect
When I think of a backup iron sight (BUIS), this is what I envision. I own the second-generation Magpul BUIS, and while it serves its purpose, I'm constantly worried about its durability. I've been searching for something similar to the Magpul sights but made of metal and offered at a reasonable price. That's when I discovered the UTG flip-up sights. Took them to the range and sighted them in no issues and held its zero. Donโt get me wrong; I really like these sights, but I have to deduct a star for one main reason: the detent button used to release the sight and fold it is very difficult to press. I have to push down on the sights to relieve some pressure in order for the button to release and to close.

Tough sight, crisp adjustments.
For the money, this is a great sight. The latching mechanism is a little stiff at first, but add a couple drops of oil and it'll wear in nicely. The adjustment clicks and aperture detent are tight and positive. The stacked design saves rail space, but can leave you short on scope clearance with lo-profile rings. Compared to the MBUS, these are quite heavy as they are all metal. Also, unlike the MBUS, they do lock in the raised position, so they won't fold if you run into a solid object. These are so tough, however, any impact hard enough to damage the sights would probably total the gun as well. Overall, pretty happy with the UTG BUS.

It's a good site!
Contrary to popular belief, UTG makes some damn good sites. I own multiple, and yes, they do primarily cater to the airsoft market, but their products are just as good on live firearms as well. Their 416 M4A1 site is probably one of my favorites! I have it mounted on an 6.8 SPC right now! It holds very well! I unfortunately, could use the 416 solid state site on my new AR, as it features a reflex site unlike my 6.8SPC, which uses a Vortex Strikefire 2, so I bought this site for my Core 15 M4 Tactical, and it works great! UTG sites - for the price, are built with solid quality. I've never once had issues with them loosing zero, I've never had issues with them falling off. They know what they're doing and that's how they dominate the market for those on a budget. Yes, I could've easily bought a Troy, I could've bought a Bravo Company, but the purpose of this site was to be a back-up, and that's exactly what this site fulfills. I zeroed it in 15 rounds, and can effectively engage targets out to 300 yards using a 25 yard zero using 5.56 NATO M855. .223 is a few click down in elevation, but can easily be compensated for with a few turns of the front site. The enthusiasts can say whatever they want, the fact remains, I get the same, if not better performance than they do on a $30 sight, then with their $100+ iron sites. I am very satisfied with my purchase. My only complaint about the product, but I don't see it worth knocking down a star, is if your rifle has the flat site that sites on top of your charging handle (like mine does) than your sites will be pushed forward to occupy 2 rail slots. I don't use magnifiers in this platform, so I'm not really worried about it (it's paired with a Sightmark Ulta Shot Plus) but it would be nice if this site was made to occupy only one rail slot and was able to occupy that space. Thanks UTG for making, what I perceive, as another great addition to my growing collection. Your sites have never once failed me.
