We're All Doing Time: A Guide to Getting Free
N**.
One of the BEST spiritual books out there. And I've read just about all of them.
I received a copy from bo while doing time in the hole... he sent them free upon request from anyone that'd ask while incarcerated. This book changed my life and gave me deep understanding of spiritual teachings that you wouldn't get just by reading the bible or about the four noble truths etc. Etc.... this book talks about what religions are and how to incorporate them into every situation at any time... just bought two copies for friends that can benefit from them.... thank you human kindness foundation and may Bo's memory be eternal.

Spiritual Guide to DOING TIME: Highly Recomended!
When one of my incarcerated Sponsees tried to tell me that the 12-Step Book doesn't have all the answers I was initially dismayed, and fearing for his life and Recovery-but the Spiritual Principal of Openmindedness prevailed and Investigation prior to contempt lead me to ordering my own copy!Bo Lazoff is an acquaintance from the Hippy Revolution and one of the cohort of Dr. Richard Alpert, PhD, late of Harvard University and peer with Alan Ginsberg and a former Merry Pranksters: it was like spending time with an old friend and enjoying finding how the Prison Ashram Project had flourished and evolved. This is a wonderful compilation of Bo's experience, strength and hope-along with lots of resources and guides after the pattern of Ram Das' BE HERE NOW, which is high praise in itself, but also homage to his teacher-who, sad to say, he has pre-deceased in this adventure.HIGHLY RECOMENDED! (And I believe profits, minimal as they might be, go towards furthering the spiritual growth programs that these guys pioneered! Buy several and work off some karma! )

True Bummer
The story the writer includes of Mickey... who’s read all Bo’s books... never gets free. He says he’s insane and actually was committed to the “nut ward!” Pg 216So WHY would I continue reading NONSENSE! This book is a complete waste of time. It’s definitely Not worth reading.True bummer!!!

Read it - and start getting free
This is simple but profound for anyone who is trying to figure it all out. Stop running and take the time to sit still, read it and start living.

a book for everyone
My first copy of this book was a gift from a friend whose intelligent kindness I admire. I've purchased many copies since for other friends. The book is balm and guidance for large souls and small ones. Village Voice calls it one of the 10 books everyone in the world should read. I'm in absolute agreement. Many of the stories told by prisoners are shocking. Bo Lozoff's answers and then the honest but compassionate exchanges between the two provide an extraordinary and, finally, uplifting lesson for the reader.
