This is a great starter kit. I bought the official Arduino starter kit a few months back, and just recently bought this one for comparison. The Aduino UNO R3 microcontroller that comes with this kit is a great test platform. I was able to wire up and program this Arduino to use the temperature/humidity sensor and track data as a data logger. I then used the serial connection to export this data to my computer. All of the other components are much more capable then the components that come in the official Arduino starter kit. It came with a PIR motion sensor that I used in a little toy car that allows the car to turn on when it senses motion. I also hooked up the IR receiver so that I could control the car with the remote control that comes with the kit. I used the ultrasonic sensor to add collision avoidance to my new car :-) . The only thing it doesn't come with are the wheels and frame of the car. For that, I used my 3D printer to make the body and wheels of the car. It also comes with 2 chips that can be used as H-bridges for controlling motors.

This is a great kit with tons of cool parts. I have been working with Arduinos and different parts like this for the last 5 years but this is where I should have started. Bought this kit to start getting my kids into electronics and robotics and this kit is really keeping them entertained. Great mix of modules, components, and learning materials. I can literally think of 1000's of different projects to make with this kit. Could keep my kids entertained for many years to come and teach them some valuable skills while they get to make cool things. The only problem I see is that there is so many different parts it's hard to get them all back in the box. LOL But really the best mix I have seen of parts and instructions to get anyone into the field of digital electronics. Good Job DingMai you guys got a real winner here at a great price.

Worth recommending.it is really an excellent kit for beginners and also experienced Arduino users.The kit works well, and the tutorial ideas are quite clear, there are some components are better indeed than I used before, such as sensors and the sensor motor.The unit I received functions identically to the Arduino.Same chip. All Arduino library sketches run fine on it.I was very very pleased with this kit. I highly recommend it.

I am really enjoying all these electronic parts (and a great PDF with ideas for wiring up these parts!). There are quite a few unique items like RFID sensors and motor controller boards. My next few weekends are going to be spoken for.. and I might even include my kids in the wiring up fun!
