First off the people who said it "wouldnt power their card" & "Fans turn on & off" then decided it was a "Bad Riser" are STUPID and should not be allowed oxygen let alone freedom. These are complicated IC's and I cannot believe how many people dismiss a perfectly good component without ANY troubleshooting!!---Sata Power - 4.5 Amps / 54 watts ( fine for cards with external power RX 570/580)6-Pin Power - 6.3 Amps / 75 watts (better choice for cards with external power like RX 570/580,) (Less Heat)Molex 4-Pin Power - 11 Amps / 132 watt (NEEDED for cards WITHOUT external power like RX 550/560)Molex is the BEST choice for all cards because it will operate the coolest because it can handle more power than needed.---RX 560 4GB Gigabyte 16 CU would only STAY ON with the Molex, as it needs 100w to post. Or 85w not sure but its above 75w cause 6 pin would not post the GPU for more than a second. Fans starting/stopping.---I plugged in an Asus R7 100w and it turned on/off fans started then stopped too (100w TDP).Then I pushed the card in more and it stayed on just FINE!!!Some smaller cards have shorter contacts and need to be pushed in more.(ESPECIALLY with cheaper PCI-Ex16 sockets!)My asus r7 240 would post and the fans spin for a second with any power plug, Sata, 6-pin, or Molex. Then I pushed the card into the pci-e16x a little more than any computer person generally would, and viola , it posted and stayed on with the Molex 4-pin 132w connector powering the riser.If you have an externally powered card and you have the molex hooked up and your card still posts the fans for a second then kicks off, try pushing the card in the socket more. Still if nothing there isnt enough amperage available on the 12v rail on your PSU.Dont be so quick to blame parts that were made just fine!

Pros:8 of the 8 I ordered worked.Power flexibility with SATA, MOLEX, and 6-PIN.Power on led.Padding on the underside.Sideways facing USB 3.0 ports keep cabling nice.Cons:Mounting holes are not standard! Everything seems offset to make room for the extra power options.Due to this my GPUs have to be at a slight angle in order for the risers to be sandwiched onto my rig's riser mounts, using only the PCIe slot screw to provide the pressure to hold them down as the mounting holes don't align, "still managed to be snug anyhow".Thoughts:Great product if you don't mind the non-standard mounting alignment or have a custom/wooden case were this wouldn't matter.

only lasted about 3 months, on a good note it did not burn my house down, so i got that going for me

Does its job but, like one of the reviews mentioned above - " GPU will power up for a second and stops ". This happened to 2 of my risers.Not recomended.

As one reviewer mentioned mechanical mounting holes are offset. Also does not come with power cables as do all other risers. Very disappointed with this product, especially at the premium price of $9.

Ordered 4 of these and all of them work. Not sure about their life though. Will definitely buy again!

wasted my 900 bucks

Pcie slot lock broken... Product not working.. Also it came with blue wire instead of white.. Returning the item.Update: got replacement.. now it's working fine till now. The wire color is blue still, no big problem.

I purchased 3 pieces and after 6 month two are dead one is working rightnow dont know how much time it will go...so be carefull before buying it.....

I bought it in October to expand my mining rig to 5 GPUs more & since their rev version is 008S latest one and it has 3 power options it works good, i am using molex power-supply, Sata power is not ideal if you are running it without sufficient cooling in your room. Molex is always preferred though. I would recommend anyone who is looking to buy it.
