Condenser Microphone, ZETHYDUM Studio Broadcasting Mic Kit for Recording with Shock Mount Mic Holder Pop Filter Pink

I ordered one of these little microphones for my daughter so she could use it while game playing. The mic came in, but it was not the one in the picture it was a straight-sided microphone instead of the lollipop version that is pictured. Also the one that was sent is ordinarily a dollar cheaper. Since it was only $10 I thought I'd order another one and see if we could get the correct unit. It had to be a mistake right? Well over time I ended up ordering six of these microphones I will probably keep three. One for the daughter and one for a stereo pair. Out of all six I received one of the lollipop type pictured and it was damaged and scratched. Well at least if it's the wrong item or damaged I don't have to pay return shipping. I don't know what the issue is with not getting the item you ordered and pictured. Otherwise the microphone is definitely worth more than what I paid for it. The accessories alone add up to more than what I paid for it and you get a microphone thrown in for free. Do not use this microphone with phantom power as the mic has an issue with it. The microphone will actually get quieter instead of louder with more voltage. At about 20 volts my units became much louder than at 48 or 5 volts. Okay I suppose I'm picking nits since the unit is so inexpensive and it really is overall made well especially considering the price. It does work nicely if you use it just as intended. Obviously it is not a high end microphone, but it's not bad. Just don't expect it to perform like a $200 microphone and you won't be disappointed. I'm really disappointed I can't get the lollipop version as I like the looks of it.

So let get down the problems with this mic:1. Don't connect this to a 48V phantom power supply. It will so absolutely horrible.2. You will need a device that gives you at least 2.5V of phantom power. Anything less, it will have some DC offset swinging.3. From my test on my cellphone, the bass seems a bit rolled off.Now for the reason for 3 stars.1. The microphone build is decent, like all the other mics that look like it for a couple more dollars.2. It comes with a stand, which typically doesn't come with at this range.3. Since this is the BM-700 style, and the reason I bought them in the first place, you can change the electronics easily.I have a review on YouTube.

I have purchased many mics from Amazon, and this is this only one that came in the wrong color( I ordered Pink and it was Blue) and disassembled.....So I put it together, and tested it and it worked fine!...I can only give 3 stars this time only!....other than that, it needs NO Phantom Power and sounds GREAT!
