Solid value for RAM
For those of us who like to drag old machines out of the shed and put them to use performing menial tasks in the home, it can be a struggle to find parts that are worth a darn when we've either busted or lost/tossed the gear we had back when the blinkenlights were shiny and new. I recently had an old Core2 system dumped in my lap, sans power supply and lacking much in the way of system memory - especially galling since it was stuck with the onboard Intel graphics chipset that requires eating a fair bit of your total RAM for lunch. I dug into my stick bin, thinking I certainly had to have a couple gigs of DDR2 spare, but lo-and-behold I was awash in DDR1 and 3, but only 512MB of DDR2. The mobo had support for a max of 2GB 667MHz sticks in each of its two slots, so I figured I'd go nuts. Only to find that while DRAM prices have indeed dropped through the floor, finding big-name brands that I regularly use and trust in older standards was still a fairly pricey prospect - too pricey for a junk machine that I was just going to have spinning a bunch of magnetic platters.Checking around the less-reputable sectors of the internet gave me an idea of a price-floor, if I wanted to test the flammability of the donor system. Preferring not to set the house ablaze, I decided a good starting point would be around twice the price of the basement bin. There weren't too many options for the exact RAM I needed, so that helped narrow things down, and then the tidy BGA packaging on the MadFortune sticks sealed the deal (I'm a sucker for hidden solder, even knowing the risks). Price was right, specs were right, and ECOTASTIC promised to have them in my hands within Amazon's Prime shipping window, so I pulled the trigger.Package arrived a day early, which was a nice bonus. Packaging was your typical clamshell affair that was thankfully NOT heat-welded together, but was instead sealed with an intrusion sticker - BIG thumbs-up for that. The RAM sticks were the odd half-height boards as advertised. I had concerns regarding the proper seating and retention of those short PCBs, but they still clicked in nice and tight, with no slop or wiggle under the clips. Makes for a nice open area between the CPU HSF and the drive bays at the front of the case, so hopefully the smaller surface area will be served by the greater airflow, and we won't run into any thermal issues down the line (I've been running this machine at 100% uptime, 30% load for weeks now with no issue). I periodically run memory tests on my machines, and these have not thrown any errors at all. They "just work" as it were.Really pleased with the product, as well as the seller. Good sticks of RAM, great shipping time, one happy customer.

Excellent memory for an easy upgrade!
I purchased this kit to upgrade my old desktop. The price is excellent and they are exactly as described by the seller. Highly recommended and will buy from again! (Update) I have recently installed these memory cards, after a few weeks of these sitting on my desk. They installed easily and worked perfect. My system now has 4 Gigs as I ordered. Very happy with this product.

Works great.
Got this ram to fix an older pc for my moms friend. One of her ram sticks died causing beeping error and no start up, took out the dead stick and got it running, but wow was it slow... Picked up this ram now it's running better than it ever has. Good price for a good product!

Works with my Acer AM5620-E5203A
Works with my Acer AM5620-E5203A. I repurpose this old computer to be a full time Ubuntu Linux Desktop. Extending memory is a cheap form of adding an extra oomph to this aging computer. I also like that the form factor of the memory stick is shorter (still same number of pins) than original.

It was just what I needed!
Product was for an under powered HP desktop. Order was placed and processed on Saturday and received on Monday as promised. Now, the desktop is a screaming machine. I didn't realize it was half height when I ordered it, but it didn't matter. I plugged the sticks into their respective slots and now I have 8GB total ram. Good product, prompt delivery. Can't ask for anything more than that!

great value for obsolete PC
This was just what I needed to beef up an old PC and put it back to good use as a project computer to learn Linux on, Unfortunately the power supply grenaded 4 months later and wiped out the mother board. Prices were reasonable and seller delivered my order right away. I will certainly buy more used computer components from this dealer in the future when the need arises.

Worked great in older dell desktop (Inspiron 530s)
Worked great in my older dell inspiron 530s even though it officially only supports 1 Gb DIMMs. I removed two 512MB DIMMs and installed these alone with 2 of the original 1GB DIMMs for a total of 6Gb. That long with a cheap SSD drive make it prettt decent for a kid computer.

Friends don't let friends settle for 2GBs of RAM. Purchase an upgrade TODAY.
Oh man I should have pulled the trigger on a RAM update years ago. I just got so used to 2 gigs of ram, I practically forgot how a PC is supposed to run, that 5 second wait times between switching tabs isn't the norm. I feel like I'm on a whole new beast now. I'm giving serious thought to just going ahead and making the jump to 8 gigs right now, before I get too comfortable with how it performs now.
