Perfect Gluten Free Pie Dough
Maybe I just had beginnerโs luck, but this was my first time ever making an apple pie and Iโm very happy I chose this brand. The dough is very easy to work with and roll out. (I donโt have a rolling pin so I used a glass.) Thereโs plenty of dough to yield a thick crust and enough leftover for lattice work. The lattice strips maintained their structural integrity, despite the thinness of the strips. Before putting the pie in the oven, I highly recommend brushing the top with an egg yolk wash and sprinkling white sugar (1-2tbsp; your preference) over the top, concentrating a bit more on the edges. It bakes beautifully. Flaky and delicious. Perfect texture. This stuff is a bit pricey but absolutely worth the premium.

Best GF flour I've ever used
This is so much better than my last brand of GF flour. We looove this! I had Pamela's bread flour before. It was passable, but I felt like my bread and pizza dough could be much better. While nothing will ever be exactly like gluten flour, this one made the best bread and pizza we've had in the past 8 yrs gluten free. Our family has alot of us with Celiac disease, so we don't have much choice in the matter. I had no problems with the quality of the 25lb bag of flour and my dough rises perfectly every time. I made a fancy strawberry birthday cake recently and it was the best cake we have ever had by unanimous vote! I was perfect texture, moisture and flavor. Baked very well all the way through. No doughy or mushy middles like some GF flours. Only downside is cost, so buy in bulk to save at least a little money.

Nearly witchcraft!! :)
I've been gluten free for several years now and I tend to use King Arthur's pie crust mix. I never saw that Cup4Cup had it too, so this year I had to try. I am very happy with their flour blend as is. Well, this was like sheer magic - easy to roll, doesn't tear, break, stick, it truly felt like in my pre-gluten free baking days! I wanted to cry tears of joy, honestly. Consistency was perfect throughout the baking and they came out marvelous. The flavor is lovely, flaky, slightly sweet - this will totally be my go-to from here on out!

Flaky pie crust!
Very impressed with this gluten free pie crust mix. Great flaky texture. Might try using salted butter next time as it is the slightest bit flat. Would definitely buy again.

It's good!
This crust is pretty darn good. I added more iced vodka to the crust than water (a trick I've used for years for regular crusts) so I could ensure it was properly moist enough to be workable, but still end up flaky. It did want to fall apart a bit more than a standard crust, but not much more. I will say, I did add extra sugar because even after tasting the mix, I kept going back to that people were using this for savory pies (why are you adding sugar if this is ok to use for both???) and that was a mistake. It was a bit too sweet, and between that and using confectioner's sugar to roll it out, it was too sweet. That being said (minus the extra sweetness I added) the texture was closer to a shortbread crust than a flaky American pie crust that I'm used to, which could be a cultural difference or simply that this was gluten free. BUT, it was a huge hit AND my boyfriend who said he has missed apple pie the most since having to give up gluten due to Crohn's was unbelievably impressed.

Makes wonderful gluten-free dough/piecrust with excellent texture
As someone who is just learning to cook with gluten-free ingredients, this is an excellent option. The flavor and texture are far superior to some other gf products I have tried. The dough holds together well and is easy to work with. Tip: be sure to chill as directed on package, and roll out the dough between 2 sheets of parchment paper to minimize breakage - this makes it easy to transfer to a pie plate (peel off the top sheet, invert the dough onto the pie plate, remove the remaining sheet of paper, and shape as usual). Great product!

This one works
Gluten free products are always more expensive. Thatโs a given. This one is pricey too. I have tried every pie crust mix out there and lots of mix from scratch recipes. Been cooking and baking gluten free for 20 years. This one allowed me to roll out a crust and get it into the pan without it falling apart. I am used to rolling out dough between plastic wrap and all that you have to do with gluten free pie baking. I was able to roll this on a flour dusted pastry mat and flip it over into a pie plate without the use of plastic wrap and without it falling apart. Really pleased with the taste and texture of the end product, too, and I will buy this mix again.

Amazing Results!
I'm not someone who knew how to make a good pie crust even before I had to go gluten free. But I sure do appreciate eating a good pie crust haha! And this mix my friends, makes a darn good crust. I followed the directions exactly. I used good quality, high fat butter. I rolled it out in between plastic wrap. It is delicious! Made an apple pie. Flaky, buttery, and it didn't crumble into a million pieces when I looked at it (if you know, you know #gfproblems)! I give it 4 out of 4 for quality and taste and overall ease. Now if we could just do something about the offensively high PRICE!!!
